Hey if I wanted to put a 600 hp engine in my 1981 Camaro with T-Tops, would I have to really re-inforce the frame? because I'm thinking the top of the car wouldn't have much strength to withstand all the torque, since I have t-tops...

or would I really only need to do that if I'm over 1000 hp or something?

I prefer the 1977-1981 boddy style with everything Z28 package but without t-tops. Great looking cars and a great platform to replace the entire suspension with modern day components, fit a different motor, and make it a handling and straightline machine. Beautiful car.

@hippocripp the black out tail lenses are factory option for 78 . I have them on my 78 Z. Supposed to be only available on berlinetta but my build sheet says otherwise. Badges for 78 grill are very rare, no aftermarket or repros available, been looking for months with no luck
