@SpartanXan117 In the comics, they had a whole collection of a G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover.

In the old Transformers cartoon there was an episode that features a character named Old Snake (unrelated to the hero in MGS4). Snake was voiced by Chris Latta. There shoiuld be a video of it on YouTube. Type "cobra commander in transformers" in the search bar above.

I never knew GI Joe had a movie but it makes perfect since. I'm sure it's not as popular because of giant fing robots kicking ass is just cooler but I wish I knew about this a long time ago.(now I have to find a way to see it)

P.S. Gi Joe song was cool too but ever since I heard the transformers one, i'ts been fantastic, plus I never heard cobra commander sound So much like Starscream in the show but I guess you can't say retreat so many times and it stays different.(WOW I typed a lot)

these 4 minutes are the best gi joe anything- Snake Eyes flipping over the Viper out of the Trouble Bubble is priceless- only 80's cartoon opening that got away with people dying the Vipers on the Liberty -check, the dude who Snake Eyes flipped over-check, and lets not forget all those people that must have died on the craft that Duke blows up - YO JOE!!!!!!!!

@hellscorpion2 that's if you don't believe the rumors, that he allegedly died during filming (Unicron being his last role, the movie being released after his death) and his role was supposedly left unfinished, most of the role of Unicron was supposedly voiced by Leonard Nimoy (who also did Galvatron) and posthumously credited to Welles since he had originally been hired for the role in the first place.

Notice that despitre more firepower going off in the space of a few minutes than all the armed conflicts of the 20th Century combined, not a single scratch gets on the Statue of Liberty.

PLUS, they blow up the Cobra Aireal Fortress DIRECTLY OVER the Statue of Liberty and all the civilians. Also there wouldnt have been time to get the civilians off the island in those few minutes. THe crash and explosion would destroy the monument, all the Joes and civilians.

Not only that, he managed to KO the pilot, who was earing a helmet.

Let's also not forget he managed to perfectly time a jump onto a jet. You have any idea how fast a jet has to go to remain in the air? Even if heCOULD time it correctly, the jets velocity would have splattered the dude.

Then later he manages to latch onto ANOTHER jet propelled vehicle without ripping his arms off.

Actually, that movie idea was in the works for a while, but recently Dan Akroyd said that the Ghostbusters video game that came out will probably be the closest thing you'll ever see to a sequal (Bill Murray not wanting to do the flick is a big reason).

Both were awesome, but the Transformers movie was particularly well done- it runs like a movie. The GI Joe one gave kids nightmares but otherwise ran like a normal episode, just extended. I mean, Prime died in the TF movie, but it had impact and crap. In GI Joe, Cobra Commander got turned into a snake and nobody really cared.

I wish i was just a kid in the 80s again lol.

Such talent went into these cartoons voice and art and back then they weren't afraid to get ANATOMY right on the characters unlike cartoons nowadays.

On the G.I. Joe i always liked the cobra song better than the Joe song.
