  • You russian,are crazy people,

  • 1950's aircraft still in use today? amazing.

  • @creativeprojects720 Yeah, loads of 50's aircraft still in use. B52, CH-47, AH-1, UH-1, C-130. Stuff like that. Alot of it upgraded of course into many different variants.

  • @TheGwunt yeah well, it's still amazing to see. Especially prop driven. In this era of f-22 raptors.

  • @creativeprojects720 More amazing to see B-52s over 60 years old still being the strategic workhorse of US.

  • @CrushTheNewOrder American ingenuity at its finest, right?

  • @eyeAMtwinkEE More like tight finances and inability to maintain an expensive nuclear triad.

  • @CrushTheNewOrder Luckily then the US has the B2 for missions other than bombing shanty towns in the middle east.

  • @CrushTheNewOrder yes, but at least they are jet powered.

  • @creativeprojects720 Those were built in 1980s, at the earliest.

  • @CrushTheNewOrder yes, but they are 1950's designed (models)

  • @mrjkt123 actually TU-95 is not shit. it is strategic bomber, not fighter aircraft. so jet engines are not priority. It is considered one of the best strategic bomber aircraft today.

  • @mrjkt123 name 5 modern aircraft in service that are using stealth. dont google it.

  • Damn the engines sound like Beasts! :D

  • I believe it is the fastest prop driven aircraft to date, still used, cruises at over 600+MPH. and its range is very impressive

  • Yea i remeber that, i read it in the news paper, they flew over sweden, coast of norweagian airspace and then over the dutch coast, dutch, swedish and english jet fighter were scrambeld to intercept the two TU-95 bombers,

    It scared me little bit.

The russian said that the two TU-95 were lost that night and that they had followd the coast, but i know better because they are testing our responding time.

  • Sweet, sweet aircraft. Too bad (US)submarines could detect it flying over with their sonars, bummer... These Bears still come pretty close to our (dutch) airspace. A months ago, or something, we had 2 of 'em probing around. F16 were sent to intercept them.

  • LOL 41point2 you're a friggin' idiot! the challenge was not to be able to write in space! it was to make a pen that would be able to write in space! NOT A PENCIL! LOL fucking idiot! and that was not a joke from a russian, that was from a congressional hearing NASA had, trying to justify government spennding on certain unnecessary projects, you fool.

  • So very impressive, even today.

    Looks awsome.

    Florianska6

  • is this a turboprop?

  • This is probably one of the best looking, most graceful Soviet-designed weapon out there. Simply magnificent!

  • My favourite propeller-driven aircraft! An impressive and elegant machine.

  • This is the Fastest propellor driven aircraft built to date.

  • The TU-95 is like a Helicopter, It does'nt fly, It beats the air into submission.

  • 2 of these bad boys where flying near western europe yesterday, possible just a training flight. they flew along the danish and norwegian westcoast.. amazing long flights "around" europe.

  • i guess aesthetics were never part of the design process

  • Russia/former U.S.S.R is the king of making ugly planes and helicopters. GO western aircraft you couldn't pay me 1,000 to fly a TU-154... Well maybe lol

  • Didn't they produce an airliner version of this? Must've been loud regarding the fact that it has four huge-ass contra-rotating propellers...

  • Great bomber that is perfect for the Russians. They should not have invested in the Tu-160 when it doesn't fit what they want and costs too much for them.

  • 4 machines, each of them are 15000hp, total 60000hp craft.

  • @jokeopus with enough decibel to hear even from inside a submarine

  • Lordy that is a sexy piece of hardware.

  • I really hate how I can't watch a video about a Russian OR American plane without people bickering about which nation is better.

How about this. Neither nation is the better. They're just different. Each has their great parts and their terrible parts. Can we agree on that?

  • @Maxables I am afraid it's too compicated for them. Seeing the world in black and white colors is much easier.

  • does anybody know the name of the song near the end of the video?

  • @UKkid19 I'm curious....what point are you trying to make since you're obviously not serious about not being able to tell a Tu160 and Tu95 apart?

  • What is this plane used for?

  • @Oeffinger

still in service. designed to drop a lot of bombs, far away from the russian border ;)

  • @Oeffinger - Cruise missile strikes now.

  • Try the Rockwell B-1B Lancer instead of this WWII hog.

  • There is a matter of concern: Tu-95 is very heavy before take off,l and takes many minutes to achieve enough airspeed to lift from ground. In case of surprise missile attack I believe they hardly could escape from distruction on ground, even in the most interior bases like Engels

  • @anisocoro in case of surprise missile attack, I belive no air force in the world could archieve a sucessfull counter attack...

  • OMG it has contra rotating propellers... how do they work? Are they efficient or is it just showing off?

  • @BadManneredCat

about 6 to 16% efficiency plus... off set by by its mechanical complexity

  • I can understand that bla, bla , bla...sure nice plane...but the language they have...hart attack!...thanks God they only spend money with this shit and they never use it ...

  • The submariners say that they can hear TU-95 flying off half across the Earth. Such is a power of these excellent airplanes. Russian avionics is the best.

  • Lovely plane, if i was plane colector, i would have to build 1 hangar for this one and another for a B52 adn .....

  • it`s the best plane!

  • Iconic, beautiful, superb aircraft. Incredible. What a beast !

  • @townclose

Lol no! It looks sickly and awkward

  • @CrazedMachine Yes perhaps it looks to yo my friend, because you are mentally retired.

  • @nedeljko18

    good one

  • @townclose

    ...and louder then fuck.

  • That is one mean lookin' machine!

  • The noise makes it better.

Last real bomber in the air, man. 5/5

  • thats some great engineering! I must say, if there is one positive aspect of the cold war, it wouid be the amazing engineering/ technological advancements achieved in such little timespan. Russia scared the shit out of USA with sputnik 1, and usa went crazy makin new weapons and planes and space shuttles. Man, i would love to fly one of these tu-95's, but it will never beat b-52

  • Slide ruler.

It reminds me of the story from the joint USA \ Soviet space missions. An American astronaut shows the Russian a Pen that can work in zero gravity. The Russian asked "How much Money"? The American proudly boasts $1 Million dollars. The Russians laughs, "Next time try a pencil."

Hope this plane never is used for what it was built for.

    Peace to All !

  • @41point2 Только в этом анекдоте тактично умолчали о том, что графит от карандаша сильно загрязняет воздух на корабле, а астронавты на деле использовали что-то типо фломастера.

  • @MrRein1988 Hello Comrade, Just passing on the story. I think this was in the earliest of space exploration. In the conversation between the two astronaut, a felt pen wasn't mentioned and I don't know if they had them back then.

    Cheers

  • @41point2 A pencil isn't permanent dipshit.

  • @kris1991 Graphite is permanant

  • @fritzryan It can be erased you nitwit.

  • @kris1991 At the same time, your trip to space isn't. You can put it in pen when you return. Silly man

  • @41point2 yes i also know that fact.lol americans rly r stupid.and when u tell them that they start bitching.loolz XD

  • @41point2: This plane would be easily shot down by a modern air defense system papo!!! Your stories is too old!!!

  • @Doraemonchina that's a good point, but by the time you shoot the bear down supersonic cruise missiles with thermonuclear warheads would have annihilated their targets. That's why bear is still in service, it's not designed to fly to new york and drop a bomb, but rather get close enough and launch nuclear tipped cruise missiles.

  • @bombarderoazul Educate yourself regarding NATO air defense systems before making grand sweeping statements such as "by the time you shoot the bear down supersonic cruise missiles with thermonuclear warheads would have annihilated their targets". Where is your evidence or proof of this?

The truth is it wouldn't get anywhere NEAR its intended launch point before being shot down, and even if it did, the cruise missiles it might launch would also be shot down by current (and anti-missile) systems

  • @AvatarAlphaOmega yes i agree the missile would probably get shot down, a bear carries 8 to 12 KH 55 missiles which have a range of 1,600 miles, that's a pretty good range, about NY to texas, i guess the best strategy would be to use a swarm of bombers firing sevel hundred of missiles at once, this would overwhelm the defense systems.

  • @41point2

Funny thing though is that we still outspent them!

  • @41point2

Just love your comment. Sums up the Russian approach to technology - keep it simple and hence reliable.

I own a Russian wristwatch - a "Polyot" Aviator - mechanical (wind up) which never goes wrong.

Had it serviced once in ten years.

I like the slide rule and remeber using one in architectural school. Think I 've forgotten how to use it now!!

    Florianska6

  • @41point2 USA was very cocky at making its space pen which, btw, cost $10 million to develop. Still, if you have the cash why not use it.

  • @prjerry7

Oh I don't know why you shouldn't spend it. Oh wait here's a possiblity.

We have built debt we and generations to come will never recover from?

China can now destory us by flooding the market with our money?

WE DON'T HAVE A NEED FOR ZERO GRAVITY PENS? Unlist your in a special space of your own.

  • @41point2 USA in 1949 had a national debt aproximately 140% of its gdp, MUCH larger then todays debt thats a mere 100% of gdp. Don't overate US debt, it wont destroy us nor will it give China the ability to do so [unless they want to committ suicide & don't want us to consume their products].

Im 99% sure you have no idea how assets work C:

  • @41point2 we ll use it against israel, gooks, niggers and muslims! - fuck you! RaHoWa!

  • @DerSturmerSS we will use it against your house, racist.

  • Хороший музейный экспонат "Любые стратегичесские задачи"-)))) ну разве что лет 15 назад. Всему своё время. Ту 160 делать надо!!!

  • such a majestic aircraft!

  • what an awesome plane. with fighter escorts. wow. I love it.

  • good sounds, very big plane!!!!!!

  • It's a shame it is such a noisy plane, other wise it would have been a great bomber.

  • ummm .. it IS a great bomber! :-)

  • not so noisy beyond 2500 km)

  • Noise is part of its charm!

  • lol wut does noise have to do with bombing? its not a spyplane LOL

  • @327372 Have you ever considered the fact that it is so noisy that the US sometimes could pick up its location with their sonar system?

  • @brenoribeiro2007

i already heared about that, he must be very launder

  • its used for patrols LOL u dumbass

  • its a strategic bomber u fuckhead. its also used for airborne surveillance. suk my nuts bitch

  • i just it was

  • great video thanks, shame it's in russian!

  • 20 out of 10 for this.
