He could have. But he had spent allot more time with the rat's, before the turtles fell into the sewer. My guess is that, master yoshi must have been living down in there with those rats for at least 6 months before the turtles came. Also my guess is the turtle were only there with him for just a few short weeks before the mutagen fell into the sewer so that is why master yoshi became a rat not a turtle because the rats were the ones yoshi was mostly in contact with.

I love you for posting this. When I was a kid, my brother and I would play Ninja Turtles with two friends of ours. We all had our own Ninja Turtle to play. I was Mikey. (Of course, I also always had to play April, too, because I was the only girl ^^)
