I think they actually co wrote it but George didn't take credit for it. I remember Ringo saying he wrote it with George when he sang it on Storytellers on VH1.
Paul McCartney credits Ringo with being a force that kept the Beatles together for the amount of time they did. Said he had a mellow personality- kept George Harrison from walking out of a recording session when he couldn't bear any more Yoko fawning with John.
"Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
This song has been my favorite since the first time I heard it. It is so me. It was written for me, I swear. Anyway, I couldn't have said it better. Ringo and I are simpatico! It don't come easy!!! I only want your trust and to trust. Ain't easy these days that's for sure.
What a great freaking song! The words are so right on !(to coin a 60s phrase)When i hear this song i trip out on how it takes me to another place and time..just wonderful......thanks for posting this tune.!
Ringo wasn't really one of the front men of the beatles. That was John and Paul who wrote most of there music as the beatles, however he did play a very important part in the beatles music, he kept the rythme for them. Now that the beatles are no longer and we've lost John and George he's been out in front creating his own music. I say keep going Ringo it's about time you did it your way.
He's a funny guy who never got the break x But he was in the Beatles, but he never got the break afterwards....Could have been a v.good deadpan guy in silent films xx
What a phenomenal song! The Beatles screwed up by not headlining Ringo; he always had the sense of FUN and is a great drummer and outstanding singer as well.
The most understated, yet most talented member the beatles. The one who had the common sense to still be a common man and not succumb to the God Syndrome (George Harrison was pretty damn cool and stayed grounded as well, though!).
listen folks if you all listen to the words it's soo true love dont come easy. so every one hug and kiss your loved one/ significan other and tell them you appreciate them for what the deal with in dealing with us

@TMRReturns Sorry, but George did write it and did it first-but Ringo's singing is much better-look up the history of the song.. Hare Krishnah!

Shouldn't the captions below the song say "George Harrison" not "Richard Starkey"?
