@HomieG75 I think this is typical Dave style. You either like it or you don't. The "it's funny [partially] because it's lame" concept is usually an important theme within his style of comedy. Most of the top ten lists aren't hysterical all the way through, but there's always one or two that are really good in there somewhere.

Imagine you are an actor on one of the most anticipated shows on tv and you have to go to Letterman, stand there for a few minutes, doing nothing but saying one dumb line which isnt even funny (except Tighs). Bet they got a lot of money for this for I can't imagine they would be going at all. If you get a whole cast in the show you better build a show around them (interviews etc.).

Why did they take the Cylons, the best things on BG and turn them into boring human forms? Did they have a limited costume budget? You don't need to make them just like the originals but don't erase them altogether by making them humans. Starbuck's a girl? Can anything good be made anymore?

This wasn't meant as a continuation of the original story, or even of the original idea. It was a few points used to create an entire new storyline. You can't compare the two because the new one was NEVER INTENDED to be like the first one.

The old one was a childish play into fantasy. The new one is a dark, deep, thought-provoking exercise in drama that is more popular than the original. I mean, did the original actor's get invited to the U.N.? I'm not saying it's better. That's for you to pick

If it's not going to be anything like the original then call it something else, because turning Cylons into humans had to be the worst idea of all time. Starbuck being a girl is also is a terrible move, why?? The new BG is far to serious, horrible wooden acting, and awful writing. The original had a great blend of humor and action, but the new one just like most new shows today are dry and have zero substance.
