Continue your good work sir, you are a brave man indeed to make a stand against this MOST covert and extremely sinister of industries, whose activities in the past AND present, if made fully public would horrify and disgust any sane minded and reasonable person to the point of disbelief. (and yes, even those with vested interests who are capable of seeing past their wage packet). I would encourage anyone interested to obtain a copy of Sidney Goodman's "Asleep At The Geiger Counter"
If the guy in the video, Jack Cohen-Joppa succeeds, and lets say 50% of nuclear power plants are shutdown, what do we have to gain?
- still have to "solve" waste issue. Its really a non-issue though since its no more dangerous than deep volcanic rock it came from. And some countries like France, Japan, Russia recycle the spent fuel - but its expensive.
- for each reactor need 1000 wind mills + backup C02 producing gas power. Who wants to volunteer to have that in their state or pay for it?
Worried its incredibly dangerous - move to country that doesn't have it.
It horrendously expensive so you don't want your children to pay for it - move to a country that doesn't have it.
Folks who exalt wind and solar are a religious cult, based on fear. It prays on people's lack of understanding. Its no different than arguments against evolution - and always there's only one alternative - their alternative.
The only real argument that holds any water is that of the waste. All other arguments are not realy at all. Stick to reality and logic minded people may lission.
Just who the hell you think you're trying to fool?!? Dangerous? There are hundred of nuclear reactors around the world and the only accident was the out of date and badly mismanaged Chernobyl. Expensive? Scheming eco-whachos like you file frivolous lawsuit after frivolous lawsuit. It's no different than some psycho predicting the death of a person and then murder that same person. No prophetic insight but a self-fulfilling prophecy, IOW a con game. Take your shit back to Greenpiss.
Hey Jack, How about next time you do some research on nuclear power before you shoot your dumbass mouth off. Do you even know how much waste we actually have accumulated? Let me tell you...if you take all of the waste ever generated from the nuclear plants it would take up about a football field stacked up to the bottom of the goal post.....yeah thats it...and by the way yucca mountain wouldn't even be close to full....next time you post a video, think about citing some credible sources
There are no new plants in the US because people won't let them be built. The court costs are too high to build new ones in the US. The entire rest of the world is building them as fast as they can, we signed the deal with India so that the US wouldn't be left totally behind. You say there is nothing new when you obviously haven't done your homework.
The reason that nuclear power plants are not "in vogue" is because of people like you. You are focusing on the negatives of 20 years ago instead of looking at what is new today. Do your research next time before you try to tell other people who the fools are. At least that way you won't be the fool leading the foolish.
Also by your logic then must of the world is foolish the following countries are currently building more nuclear reactors: Finland,France,Japan,Argentina,Brazil,China, india and even canada among others.
That doesn't mean we need to follow suit. Besides, the U.S. doesn't have a good track record on nuclear energy. In addition, we have a different form of government and economy than these countries, too, which places nuclear power in the private enterprise zone (irrespective of the NRC, which by itself is not free of private interests).
wow go back to college and stop spreading misinformation. The french who get 80% of their power throuh nuclear reactors have the cleanest air in industralized world and the cheapest energy bill in europe. They recycle the waste.Countries that actually meet kyoto like sweden and finland depend heavily on nuclear power. Your also ignoring technological advances like peddle bed reactors that dont meltdown, breeder reactors and fourth generation reactors in the near future.
Nice job!! Jan sent me the link so I had to watch it. Do you know how many years it has been since I have seen you? Heck, you were just starting high school the last time I saw you. My, how the times change us all...

Every one of these assertions has been addressed countless times. Either this video is older than I am, or this guy's an idiot.
