  • The US is heading in the right direction building a 4+++ fighter but what they need to do is give it thrust vectoring and canards like the f15 active and then it stands a chance against the flanker family. Make them cheaper. I can get 2 su-35s and have 12 mill left over and I can probably get 10 J11/15 (flanker clones) . Forget stealth boeing is still messing with this radar absorbant but metal corrosive material. Hitler had 90 ME 262 but got his ass kicked by 5000 p51s

  • I like to see this aircraft fly in the Atlantic City Airshow "Thunder Over the Boardwalk" coming up this week on Aug 17th, 2011.

  • they should give it thrust vectoring

  • @Universeschild89 I second this motion.

  • Hi guys I'm saudi the best of aircraft in KSA is ( f-15 e + f-15es + Taifoon +

     will f-15se )

  • I wish Jane's was still making Flight Sims. We need a new one right here, one that isn't a hacked-mod from LOMAC or Falcon. Logitech just released a new HOTAS that would be perfect for this.

  • those su-27s never saw it coming

  • Information of F-15SE Silent Eagle:

    -1st go to google

    -2nd type down F15sePowerPointPDF

    -3rd click the first one

-4th scroll down then click on F15sePowerPointPDF

-5th it will appear with powerpoint and you could scroll down and read everything about F-15SE. Oh Yeah! F-15SE use AN/AGP-82 (v) 1 is a new AESA radar it is combination of APG-63 (v) 3 & APG-79!

  • Vectored thrust?

  • Sorry jaleeel, F-15SE Silent Eagle doesn't had thrust vectoring because Boeing acknowledges that proposals for add-ons such as thrust vectoring were also considered, but deemed too expensive. Instead, the company focused its attention on reducing the F-15E's radar cross section and upgrading its analogue and bulky electronic warfare system.

  • lol

  • Yes, F15SE is for export. competing on a $8.0b contract for indian air force

  • Sorry iiivviii, the F-15SE Silent Eagle in only for export to Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, & Israel. Also USA will sell F-15SE Silent Eagle among others like Taiwan, Australia, Canada, UAE, Turkey, Chile, & Morocco! Many nation right now are looking for fighter aircraft that could beat & match Su-35BM, Su-30M2, Su-27SM, J-11, & export Su-30 fighters. Everybody know F-15SE could beat Sukhoi fighter. Typhoon & Rafale doesn't stand a chance.

  • @USAAIRPOWER Realy Canada? I thought they were buying the piece of shit JSF program thingy.

  • @G0DZ0FC0D Piece of shit? The F-35's EODAS system makes surface-air systems obsolete and allows it to opt-out of a dogfight by firing a missile that will go backwards. The F-35 JSF can destroy land-based defense systems before it even has a chance to hit it, the same with enemy fighters.

  • @TheMostWantedR1 It sounds great yet the s500 will attack from so far away that it never see the launcher and is a stealth hunter. in the case of the new Tunguska-M1 it can shot down and intercept missiles shot at it. As far as the su 35s it has first strike but if done to soon the aim 120 can be jammed to late and the su 35 sees it. Though the AoA might just give it a chance becuase a mach 1.6 vs 2.25 it can't really disengage with much chance.

  • @USAAIRPOWER You know the guys at Sukhoi know what their doing .Their not a bunch kids makeing jets out of twigs .They have a new stelth fighter .

This is just a retro bird with new stelthy funbags .I do like it tho ; )

  • @USAAIRPOWER Will the idea is too beat it easy with engage disengage idea. with 4 missiles you might get 2 or 3 chances. yet the su35 has great jamming and radar. get too close about 30 to 35km and it sees the f15se. To far away it just jams the aim 120 missles. Yet unlike the f35 it can disengage then re engage later. So the best fire zone be at about 37km right were the su35 comes into range VR yet it not on radar yet. though the su35s is suppose to be improved su35bm all around radar too.

  • @USAAIRPOWER Nope - the "stealth" coatings on the skin of the aircraft make it /difficult/ to detect, not /impossible/. You're making that assumption because you're probably American. Fighters of other manufactures are very capable (e.g. Sukhoi OKB, Shenyang, Mikoyan-Gurevich OKB), they aren't fucking bumbling idiots.

  • Newv twist to an old airframe. How much will this cost, really?

  • $100 million estimated

  • oooh updates... Good to see them updating an older proven aircraft - but it's really because they can't afford more F22's lol

  • It isn't an issue of what we "can afford" but more an issue of priorities.

In the past 5 months Obama and his democrat congress has spent enough on influence buying socialist programs to have bought at least FIVE THOUSAND F-22's.

  • In the latest Pentagon budget the Air Force Generals WERE in favor of cutting back the F-22's on order. WHY? So the Hundreds of MILLIONS that were going to go to F-22 production will now fund more PREDATOR & RAPTOR DRONES! It is the politicians how are trying to save the F-22 NOT the military. Hey, it's a great plane, but the FUTURE is now and the FUTURE is REMOTE CONTROLLED from an Air Force base in New Mexico! ;)

  • Actually the generals supported the cut because they felt that was the only way to keep the F-35 alive.

In actuality they know as well as I do that 187 F22's isn't enough and that we need both the F22 and the F35 as well as UAV's.

  • Idiot. No such thing as a "Raptor Drone". You're thinking "Reaper", and we know all about the FTU at Holloman AFB. Combat flights are still controlled from Creech. Holloman is only for training...which is a good thing; they'll stop crashing all the time in New Mexico instead of Nevada.

  • @nriqueog till the first drone is hijacked, or the controll channel gets jammed. or an autonomus drone goes berserk.

  • The F-15SE is really for Japanese, South Korean, Canada, Australia, and Israeli air forces because we'll never sell them a F-22 Raptor

  • Its not much cheaper than the f-22. 22,440,000,000 buys 187 f-22s or 224(.4, but I'm not sure how they would buy 2/5ths of a plane) Yeah that's 37 more planes, but I don't think that's really not enough to justify spending money on development and testing for an inferior craft. Yeah this is an export plane most definitely.
