Throwing in all of the MJ stuff into the music video isn't their way of making fun of him, it's more of a tribute to him. When an artist does a cover of a song it's not because they think the original sucks, it's actually the opposite and they just want to put their own spin on it. And if the original artist of the song doesn't like what they've done with it, they can just say "no" and not let them do it.

In essence, AAF likes MJ, and MJ likes AAF. So stop bitching about which one is better.
