David Suchet has been portraying Hercule Poirot for 22 years now, that's really awesome since he's the best at it and has just committed to four more stories which should finish off the last of Christie's Poirot novels.
I love it when Poirot wins "second place in a beauty contest" and neither man cracks a smile. In fact, Hastings actually looks askance at HP--as if he thinks he's trying to get away with something! Dry wit is a rarity on American TV, unfortunately.
