  • your awesome stphen king

  • The tunnels freaks out those of us who live in Maryland, too. Me, at least o.o

  • I fucken hate you

  • Her** typo sorry. :)

  • @bttalbot ; It was either him or Dean Koontz. Lmao

  • OMG I want Under The Dome so bad for Christmas

  • Stephen King is possibly one of my favorite authors. He's a magnificent one. He's written some of the best stories ever. In a list of my favorite authors it would go. 1.Edgar Allan Poe, 2. Stephen King, 3 S.E. Hinton. I'm a guy and those are my favorite authors ever.

  • @UndeadLucas I've already gained respect for you. To the REAL authors! It's not about the money, it's about writing!

  • @unrealityproduction Stephen does make a lot of money doing these books. But he doesn't mention anything about the money or anything.

  • @UndeadLucas Yeah, that's very true. But from what i've gotten from him and his introductions, his "On Writing" book and such, is that, sure the money is important and great and well-deserved for his work, it's not just about the money. Meanwhile, some writers seem to write just for the money rather than for the sake of writing

  • @unrealityproduction Well he says he's been writing for over fifty some odd years. He's written many great books. It, Misery, The Stand, the list goes on. But still. That's all some authors are concerned about is money. People tried comparing Stephen to Stephenie Myers. Which is just crazy. Tell me if she can make a book that is at least up to his stands.

  • I wish he came to MY walmart. :(

  • YAY!!!!!! I <3 SK!

  • I'm really excited for Cell. It's one of my faves from his newer stuff and when I heard Eli Roth dropped out it just made me happier~ <3

  • I've been rereading Pet Semetary and there is no question; the man has no equal, in my opinion. Wonderful writer and storyteller.

  • HOLY SHIT! xD lol. I was not expecting that!

  • HOLLY SHIT! lol

  • CELL THE MOVIE

  • Hey not trying to steal the spotlight, but I am just letting everyone know that I am a first time published author. My book Rasciss tells the story of Hollowawk a man who literally defied death and now must face the wrath of petty gods. Come onto my channel and check out the promo video I made for Rasciss. Leave a comment and if you like what you see than please pick yourself up a copy and let me know what you thought about it!

  • holy shitt!! lmao

  • I love Stephen King and have read most of his books but the #OMG scariest book in the world is Thirteen VOlume One. Google it or look on Amazon.

  • Great news about the Dark Tower series, but I am devastated that he blew off the question about IT - the world needs Pennywise back and FAST!!

  • Simply my Hero:) The best writer of modern times:)

  • Under The Dome is his best novel yet!

  • aww I wish I could meet Stephen King! Reading IT and I LOVE IT!!! Such an inspiration too!

  • I am currently reading Under the Dome, and I'm amazed at how personable this guy is. He's incredibly funny.

  • Can't wait to read 'Under The Dome'. Stephen King is one of my favourite authors!

  • what about jack from the shining!?

  • holy SHIT!

  • Holy Shit.... HAHAHA

It's kinda similar to my favorite book, "Gone" by Michael Grant.

    READ IT. IT'S AMAYZING. ^-^

  • thanx for uploading and making the effort !!

  • this is so great!

  • HOW BOUT THEM CRAB CAKES? lol

  • this...is...AWESOME!

  • This man is brilliant hahah. I read 'Misery' and 'Pet Semetary' and they are both good, 'Misery' being my favorite. I am now reading 'Bag Of Bones' and loving it! :)

  • 05:23 "Do you scare yourself?"

    "I'm scared right now"

Oh, I love you Steve xD

  • @Steebin1 oh, thank you! i thought Steven didn't accept stories written by fans.

  • Thank you very much for posting Steebin1, would you recommend one or two books from him?

I really love his writing in some specific texts specially humoristics paragraphs, however I'm looking for a really thrilling story.

  • @focl2003 dark tower series, once you hit book 2 you will be hooked

  • @Steebin1

    im reading that now

im on book 3 book 1 sucked..book 2 wasnt all good but im liking book 3

  • @Steebin1 My favorite part is when Jake, Oy, and Callahan fight the grandpa vamps and the Can-Toi!

  • @Steebin1 once you read the first fucking sentence you will be hooked. "the man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."

  • @focl2003 You should try Duma Key or Salems lot

  • @focl2003 Dark tower absolutely. Some of his best stuff.

  • @focl2003 read IT. very long but VERY GOOD

  • First, thanks for the video Steebin1 and for the annotations :), second, why didn't he accept that script/book a guy wanted him to read?

  • @UnimaginableNick the person wanted to walk up during the Q&A session to give it to him, people were allowed to give him "gifts" when they went up to meet him, they had a large box ready for stuff haha so im gessing it went in there eventually

  • @UnimaginableNick I've heard him say that he doesn't read other people's script so he can't be accused of plagiarism.

  • @UnimaginableNick It was probably some guy trying to get him to look over his story and say if it was any good...it's very Unprofessional to do that, and very few writers would.

  • @UnimaginableNick

I'm pretty sure that authors can't accept unsolicited material or they risk being sued if there were some similarity in a future story.

  • I heard he uses Botox. Like he's trying to be Harrison Ford or something. I don't know why he has to be so vain. He's just a bloody writer. Creepy old man.

  • @martygwest

I don't know why you bother to say anything negative about him in a comment on a video where his loyal fans would bash you. Creepy Youtuber...

  • I live near Dundalk, and on this exact day I bought "Misery" from a thrift store. The clerk informed me that he was going to a SK book signing at the Dundalk Wal-Mart that afternoon, but by then it was too late to sign up (apparently you needed to go in the morning and get a wristband, then come back.) *sniffle*

  • even stephen king doesn't know what's going on with the Talisman movie *face palm*....my favorite story will NEVER be adapted... =(

  • Stephen is awesome. Love him.

  • I've loved the Dark Tower for twenty years. I can't wait to read the next chapter. Never thought I'd get to read a new DT other than the comics.

  • i live rite near this walmart

  • I'm glad i got my book signed their, i used to work at that walmart... LOL!

  • yea this was awesome i work there funnny though that manager at the mic is a dik

  • Stephen King is the man.

Great imagination, loads and loads of narrative muscle. The man could describe a pretzel in an interesting way. He is quickly rising to become my favorite author ever. I thought King was a horror dude. What he is, is a mastermind of human psychology. He knows people's nature like no one else.

  • wtf? "can i pass this up to you??" every writes favorite question..not

  • 8:57 - What do these people think he's going to do with it?

  • any one know if it was comfirmed wether he was going to do a sequel to the shining or not??? i hope he does, i really do.

anyone know where i can buy the american vampire series part one, it isnt avaible on amazon.....

i do know there is going to be a new novella this month called blockade billy, and more short stories with the title being, all dark and no stars, any news would be greatly appreciated.,...

  • dammit i so wanna read Under the dome but its still hasnt been translated in my language :(((

  • Long live the King!

  • woah, an eighth dark tower book???? i freaking love that series, on the fifth one now.

i already read under the dome and thought that one was really good too. i liked it alot depsite all the crtisim. did anyone hear he also plans to write a sequel to the shining, and he said it would be released later this year......

  • XD loved it love him!

  • We all Love him so much.Long live Stephen king .Hope he comes to India at least once. And that at Mumbai India.I pride myself to be the biggest fan in my country atleast.

  • "holy shit" HAHAHA Fav author!

  • i love his comment on the movie 1408

  • i love s.king and one on my dreams will be meet him but it´s quite dificult because i´m from Barcelona..

Anyway it´s a pleasure enjoy videos like this! thanks!!

  • Very like able guy, my favorite author!!!!

  • Stephen King is hysterical. He really seems like a real "down-to-earth" friendly guy.

  • come to my state for the love of kah

  • I couldn't hear what he said was his favorite book he written.

  • Hs said either Under the Dome, or The Body which is a novella in Different Seasons.

  • He's funny and a genius, love all of his books :3

  • Shit shit shit!!! He came to Maryland?! NOO! I love this man and he came to my state?! God, he is one of the best writers of all time, plus he's hilarious. Hahaha, "...The Shining on crack." that is so funny! This man is the best!

  • kinda wish every1 would stfu and let the man speak

  • LOL i didnt know he was funny.

  • Stevie, a WAL-MART?!?! It's like a diamond lying in a turd, but I'll forgive you. Better yet, you called it "Wally World," like I do. Oh, well, it's a necessary evil. DAMN, I wish I'd been there. At least I got to stand in the sands of "Duma Key," aka Longboat Key and watch the sun go down, right after the book came out. UNREAL sunset, just like in the book! I still have the shells!

  • Really cool video.......I bet that was awesome being there for this...... except for the waiting and the crowds of people. But I'm sure it was well worth it!

  • I love Stephen King, I've only read Misery,Cujo,IT and reading Under the Dome right now.

  • thats good news about the cell movie. I really liked cell.

  • I was there, and got his autograph. It was great! Stephen King is that man!!

  • damn i wish he'd come to australia.

  • How about them crab cakes?

  • thanks for uploading this!!!!

  • I disagree. He wrote and published Rita Haworth and the Shawshank Redemption, as well as The Green Mile, after Pet Semetary. They are very thought provoking and very well imagined. Other good ones are Dreamcatcher, Lisey's Story, and the screenplay Storm of the Century

  • He is a fantastic writer and very loyal to his fans as you can see here he has lots of patience and jokes around a lot with them.

Most authors just answer the questions they get asked in a very matter-of-fact way but he knows how wow them.

The best writer of our time without a shadow of a doubt.

  • @entwistlesjd he also directed one of the scarist ass movies to

  • @entwistlesjd I watched a book signing of him from like 87 and some guy summed it up (Who was in line) very well. "He's a great guy and a better writer".

  • loved duma key!!! τωρα ξαναδιαβαζω το , κορακι!!! μπράβο στον συγγραφέα!!!

  • loved duma key!!! i am rereading the stand!!! το κορακι στα ελληνικα!!!

  • another DT book ? wow cant wait.

    best writer EVER:)

  • he finished the book series with no. 7

  • Stephen King confirmed this during his TimesTalk event at The TimesCenter in New York City on November 10, 2009, and the next day King's official site posted the information that King will being working on this novel in about eight months, with a tentative title being The Wind Through the Keyhole.[6] King noted that this novel should be set between the fourth and the fifth books of the series.:)

  • wait, he's making a book that goes in the middle after he made the last one?

  • great king

  • I thought that the ending to the dark tower series was so awful as to make it really, really great. I guess I loved it because I hated it. If that makes any sense. It seemed an appropriate ending.

  • This video would be watchable if wasn't for all the screaming obnoxious Americans

  • @WastedTourist So I take it you're an obnoxious foreigner.

  • @WastedTourist PS> Fuck you.

  • Well you sure proved me wrong with those polite manners.

  • Why? I said PS, didn't I? Is it polite manners to hate Americans the way you do? You know how predictable you are? I figured you were British and it turned out you were Irish - close enough and what a shocker. You could have said obnoxious "people", but no, you wanted us all to know how you're better than over 300 million people in the most diverse country in the world. I say again, PS>...

  • Ok, sorry. I retract the use of the word Americans. That was out of order. I should had said that the noisy crowd made this video unmatchable and left it at that. Sorry!

  • Under the Dome is a great book I suggest you read it because as soon as you read this book you will be addicted to Stephen. STEPHEN KING ROCKS!!!

  • my first book i read was bag of bones but my favorite was the stand and im on the dark tower series the 5th book and its awsome

  • duma key's ending got a bit too far fetched, if thats possible? salems' lot is a great book :)

  • His top 5 Books:

    The Green Mile

    Bag of Bones

    Misery

    Carrie

    The body

  • the body is a novella not a book

  • amazing stuff, thanx for posting! I wonder what was that dude thinking when he asked about PASSING UP A SCRIPT to him? man... that was weird

  • Qestion for stephen king: will there be another STORM OF THE CENTURY?

  • Great book. Just finished reading it.

  • WOW. I was at Wal-mart at that time with my dad but i didn't realize that Stephen king was there.

  • I don't get the crabcakes thing - anyone wanna explain it to me please?

  • Maryland is famous for its crab cakes.

  • So excited about another Dark Tower book.

  • I tried to read Christine, but I got bored. I tried to read firestarter, but didn't like it. The same happened with Pet Sematary. The ironic thing is though, I still think Stpehen King is a really top writer. Plus he wrote the story which was converted into the greatest movie of all time - The Shawshank Redemption. The Stand is his best work.

  • Pet Sematary and the Firestarter are just amazing... did you read the whole THE STAND book? that's a mandatory read in these times of flu... if you can make it thru that you'll appreciate all his other tales (at least that's what happened with me)

  • some of his books take a bit to get into, I'll admit that. They are usually worth sticking with. Only one I consider a clunker was Cujo, I never did finish that one and it's one of the few books I dont' have on my bookshelp

  • Man, I can name three good stories--along with this awesome book--by Stephen King that needs to be adapted. The Eyes of the Dragon--animation movie (just as it was supposed to be).

  • Whoops. I didn't finish. The other two books I wanted to mention were Duma Key--as a TV series. And last but not least, the Dark Tower series--as a TV series as well.

  • Sorry but Eyes of the Dragon was, to me, one of his worst stories... I read The Shining, which was my first SK book, and didn't like it, it was not bad but not good neither.

Now, Desperation was good, Bag of Bones was amazing and now I'm reading The Dark Half which seems excelent as well. The Dark Tower was pretty good, but I'm stuck on Wizard and Glass, I think a lot of people are stuck as well... Got my first copy of Under The Dome yesterday. I'm the first Brazilian to have it!

  • Eyes of the Dragon was my first book. Honestly, EotD, DK, and UtD are the only three books I've read by him, but I would like to read his other works.

  • did you like UTD so far? I loved it :)

  • I'm enjoyin it. I'm about 300 pages. A lot characters, just like Needful Things. Needful is, by far, his best book. It's just amazing and great. Everybody should read it. I got a little messed up with the amount of characters. You probably will have to do a list for remembering those characters. Same thing with Under The Dome although there's a list on the book, but this list is weird because there's not a ordem for the characters.

Anyway, I like Under the Dome but Needful is so much better.

  • haha- "The Shining on crack!"

  • he was in toronto a couple weeks ago

doing an interview. but i could go. cuz i couldnt get a drive... id fucking kill to meet Stephen king :P

  • Just got my copy and am bitterly disappointed Scribner/Simon&Schuster chose such tiny print and pale ink. They cheated not only the reader public but Stephen King who took 30 years to write possibly the crown jewel of his career. I'm just sick with disappointment.

  • What is this, a convention on how to waste Stephen King's time with stupid questions?

  • Holy shit!

    XD

  • Haha I can't wait until the HBO series!!! =D

  • I wish I could meet him someday!

  • I just started to read Under the Dome -- I'm BLAZING through the pages. Already 100pgs in. Already becoming one of my personal favorites.

  • my phones don't work very well what did he answer to the first question?

  • Under the Dome must be the fastest-reading book of the last 20 years for me:)

  • Long live the King. lol

    One of the best.

  • Wish the crowd would shut the fuck up.

  • What an opening: HOLY SHIT! :D :D :D

  • Hey gatheringleaves-Duma Key is a great book but if you haven't read these-id reccomend reading The Dark Tower books and Under The Dome first. Those are better than Duma Key in my opinion.

  • I have read almost all of his short stories

The novellas The Mist, The Library Policeman, and The Sun Dog

And the novels Thinner and Rose Madder and am now reading The Long Walk

    I love King

  • The Long Walk is amazing! I loved it at all.

  • I LOVE THE KING OF HORROR !!!!!!!!!! <3

  • i wish that someone asked if flagg would return to any future books

  • I hope not

    I hate flag

  • Flagg is teh best

  • Flagg siempre vuelve

  • Thanks 4 the clip! For people like me who live in England & never get the chance 2 meet him, its so good 2 c The Man at work! I wish he would come here 4 a book signing!

  • Didn't he come to England for signing Lisey's Story? You shouldn't have missed it, LOL:)

  • Comment removed

  • @ Actuallysalemslot... For real??? He came 2 England 4 a book signing?? I never heard about THAT happening!! Im sooo gutted!!! :-(

  • he was on This Morning. hilarious

  • i am always the last to hear about anything :-( lol! I missed that aswell!

  • Is Lisey's Story good? Everybody says "NO" or "It's horrible".

What did you think about the book?

  • it is (in my opinion) one of his best novels. i definitely recommend it..

  • personally it's my favorite of his books. He himself says it's one of his favorites in some interview somewhere, definetely give it a read :)

  • Comment removed

  • Stephen King, is without question one of the greatest authors to ever grace this planet.

  • YEAH! The first seven books were bot enough of the gunslingers world!

  • Hi Steebin, it;s Anni M from the board--thanks for a great video! I'm going to the Toronto event tonight
