The bass carries this song throughout but no matter who plays it no camera man ever shows the bass. You guys did show about 3 or 4 seconds of the bass though.
Copyright problems or not... it is just a bit unsetteling to see the original artists performing while someone's cover audio is dubbed over the actual audio. Your covers sound just fine on their own and could easily be done with some kind of honestly representative video I would think, even if they are not played live...
Hi Dave, Michael T here. Thanks for your gracious & flattering comment on this Farner Classic. The older I get the harder it is to get enough air to carry it (not to mention that I'm a classically trained baritone) I saw your comment in my inbox but it didn't appear on the vid so I'm responding here. You've also done & interesting rendition here with many more elements than mine. Your vocal is much better but I think you cheat cuz you sound like a true tenor to me! Hope we can be friends :o)
Hey Michael, thank you for your nice comments! I'm a baritone, just like you. It's very evident that I struggle to hit those notes that you seem to hit with little effort.
You are the Captian!!! I really enjoy your videos - they are so polished. You hold the bar that we are all trying to reach up and touch. The panning of the guitar is just awesome - this is really great!
Hello Dave, That's a great piece of work with a very novel way of doing a video ;) The harmonies reminded me of the Little River Band..excellent matey;) I loved the stereo effect of the guitar;) 500 stars, Cheers Billy ;)
Phenomenal!! Dave, you are a master musician and artist. You sang this way better than I could have!
P.S. I live in the Philly area, and obviously love the hometown team. The Cardinals are my second favorite NL team though. When we lost Rolen to you, it was bittersweet.
Great job on this!!!

Well Jeff, I never really looked at it that way. I certainly get your point. I'm trying to tape more of my own performances for the future.

I wish...thanks for the kudos Jimbo! Rolen's in Toronto now and I hope he does better up there than he did in St. Louis.

He was outstanding as a Phil, great glove and good bat, he allowed us to finally get over the fact that Mike Schmidt had retired.
