I love Audrey and I think you did an amazing job. I agree with LostAlongTheWay5, even if the song isn't a classic it still works well with this video. Beautiful!
I think this song actually worked with this movie even thought it's classic. That: "i don't know who I am" -sentence with this song <3 Oh god it was great. I think this video is epic!
For my two cents i really enjoyed this. Yes, the video was a bit too fast paced for me. But i liked the song and felt it went well with the feeling of the movie. And it may bring young folks to see this and then want to go out and see the real movie. The only missing part was Patricia Neal. She was good as the older women & looked wonderful in New York House Pauline Trigere.
I have to say, that from the begining it was quite strange combination of music style a style of the film for me. But then I realised, that this song matches personality and life of story of Holly perfectly. It is a great job!
I have to say that suprisingly I really like this video. My first impression was that the music does not fits well the atmosphere of the film. But on the other hand, it fits very well the story, which is the most important after all. It makes me feel that there can be a girl like Holly Golightly in contemporary New York...and maybe there is, who knows?:)
@MrAduch Its pretty likely that there is someone like that in NY now. Not that their life would follow the exact story of the movie, but someone with her personality traits is almost guaranteed to exist, especially today.
I am a huge fan of this movie, its one of my favorites. I understand that the music and style of this video may be contemporary for this film. However, I enjoyed this. It really captured the angst that Holly feels throughout this movie as she hides from her true self and attempts to hide from her love of Paul. The end of the video was Holly in a nutshell; a lonely woman who had no true friends except for Cat and later Paul, a woman with a sad life. Bravo! Loved it.
Audrey Hepburn looks beautiful and elegant, and George Peppard looks slick and handsome. What a couple on the screen! I loved how people dressed and groomed in those days, the early 1960s.
hmmm. . .i was looking to catch this movie on line b/c i've never seen it. I must say that this video is compelling and seems to capture a lot of the energy of the film. It says to me this film is a timeless piece of art. I like it.
I must say... WOW :) I love it, it is just amazing. It is true, Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic, but I do see this video as a form of art... The art of blurring the time line... The same stories happen in today's world as well. People are different and maybe their tastes changed a lot in time, but they still have the same emotions. I think that the song of this video brings the classic in a contemporary light, and I personally believe there is no harm in doing so. Again, I LOVE IT!!!
fantastic! you dont see a lot of films from this era vidded and it's very refreshing to see this video with such a modern song! Loved the effects at the beginning. The video is great!
I have to politely and completely disagree with everyone's opinion. This movie is a classic and for me at least represents a time when America had some style and aesthetic sense. This commercial rock music is completely tasteless and tacky in my opinion but I can see I am in the minority.
the constant fast panning in makes it look like an MTV video which it totally isn't.
its good though that other people are enjoying it :) it is a great movie!
@eddiebrentwood to be honest with you i completely agree that the contemporary, commercial music does not at ALL go with the class and style of the film! I felt secretly guilty whilst making it too. I know it's the last thing that Capote would like to associate with his story. My main goal in making this was not to make art though but to capture emotion & help others to feel it too- the essence of Holly Golightly in the lyrics. I have planned on making a proper Tiffany's video- with proper music
thanks for your reply!!! sorry mine is so late. and thank you for taking my criticism. I must be becoming a bitter old man who talks about how good it used to be even though I was not alive when this movie came out!! sorry about that. re-watching it I like the black and white to color and the sampling. a better suited song and less aggressive panning in and out and it is very good. take care :)
gaaaaaaah, this movie is so damn epic and audrey is one of my biggest idols, i'm so glad to see someone vidding her!! this is awesome, seriously. and your colouring.... WOW
oh wow. this is gorgeous. adn I haven't even seen the movie!
