Not just as a matter of flavor for sound, but as a matter that it will damage your hearing if you don't know what you're doing. There is a thing called "noise". For guitar players, it lies in the sound band frequency of 4K hertz.. It will deafen you. I guarantee that. Be careful. With old celestion speakers, one could overdrive the piss out of them, but they would not produce this 4K noise band.
