  • Disco turkeys!

  • what's that yellow drink?

  • yes they are noisy! i had no idea either. had to leave a radio playing for them 24/7 to shut them up!

  • I just ordered a tom and hen broad breasted turkeys last night!

  • my turkey poults 5 weeks old and they still make alot of noise but it is nothing compared to the noise my chinese goslings make...

  • Cute little noisemakers... Nice of you to care for them.

  • How are the turkeys doin now? Are they teenagers ?

  • They are wonderful and they are going on 2 years old now! Fat and sassy and sweet. I love them.

  • i have one too that the neighbor kids found and i took it in! its alive and well!!! i put it under a heat lamp and then i put a stuffed little teddy bear in with it and it likes it! it does peep alot tho but not as much now!!!!!!!

  • Good for you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! My girls are now about a year and a half and they are wonderful!

  • I have a question. A few days ago I had found a baby turkey that got lost from it's mother(I believe after a terrible storm we had). Well I took it in and it'd cheap all day and all night even when he'd try to sleep.. but 2 nights later he passed away :/.. I thought he was eating and he didn't seem like he was starving. Do you know what could of happened to him? Someone said he he could of had to much stress... please reply :/

  • I assume it was a wild turkey? Was drinking water properly? Turkeys are notorious for not being able to find their water... Some people call them dumb because of that, but I don't think they are. I agree that it might have been too much stress. That can kill just as surely as any disease. It might have had internal injuries, parasites, or some other problem that you could not see. I am so glad you tried to help it. It is so hard when an animal dies even though it seems OK. Thank you for trying.

  • Thank you for replying!! He was a wild turkey and I thought he was drinking. We only had him two nights and he passed away. I've learned more though about baby turkeys though. If I ever get a baby one I'll be sure to be extra careful and stick shiney things in the food and water just to make sure.

  • temperature, they take 95-100 degrees for the first 3 days.

  • Are these turkeys raised just to be pets? Will they be slaughtered?

  • I could never eat my feathered children! They have a luxurious life as my 2 turkey pets until their natural end. I like them so well (they are really sweet) that I am thinking about adding a few more next year.

  • i had a pet chicken... people asked that question more than you can imagine, and my answer was the same :)

  • They Are COLD

  • Probably! Yes, they'll be slaughtered if you had predators eat them and say, "Salutations, snack."

  • With Thankgiving Day coming, it is hard to imagine anything else.

  • i just got 2 bb bronze poults. Your right, they have the most annoying peep.. So i converted a dog igloo into a brooder w/ a 60 w clear light bulb, hay on the floor, and starter /water in cleaned tuna cans. I pointed the igloo toward my noisy neighboors. So far, they are putting up a fair amount of noise but their pack of chiwawas are still louder.

  • When i first got my baby chicks they where loud as anything you could imagine. We have like a little pet room where we keep the pets and it's at the very back and you could hear them in my front door.boy they were loud they gave me a very bad head ache but now they are more calm thanks to god!
