r2 d2 isn't a droid. he is a robot. droid, short for android, derived from the latin word androdius, meaning man. droids are machines made to synthesize man and are usually NOT TRASH CAN SHAPED

I personally don't care if he used what some people believe to be an inaccurate term. I'm not a purist, and judging by the many stores that carry the model (and again the movies), the decision seems to be swayed against you.

@HappyDiscoDeath cobchob wasn't trolling. He was stating the fact that 'droid' is short for 'android'. Androids are robots meant to look like humans, and R2-D2 is certainly not human shaped. In C3P0's case, it makes sense: He looks like a human, no?

I can't post links to Wikipedia and Dictionary[dot]com, but if you go to those websites (which I doubt you will), and search 'android' you'll find that the definition is a robot meant to look like a human.

My views on the subject have been soundly rejected. If you look at my comments, I did not go for any particularly vicious trolling tactics. like serious verbal abuse or posting hateful comments on cobchob's channel. there's also a number of heckling comments on this video. also, wikipedia is rather inaccurate for most stuff.
