  • @gbt34 Yes- it is a 4th generation mustang, so 1994-2004. The audi is a B5 chassis, so 1994-2001. The B5 A4 was available from 1994-2002. The B5 S4 was available from 1997-2001 in Europe, and 2000-2002 in north america. I would say that makes them from the exact same era, wouldn't you? Or do you just call people retarded when you know you are wrong?

  • @gbt34 that is not a newer audi- it is a B5 generation... In north America they were made from 2000-2002, in Europe, I think it was something like 1998-2002, so it is comparable to that generation of mustang- also, it is not even the highest performance model of audi from that time period- see RS4! You should compare A4 to V6 stang, S4 to mustang gt, and RS4 to cobra.

  • @yourfast07 The Audi is heavier then the Cobra by about 300 lbs. and theirs no way in hell the S4 was stock, a stock S2000 is roughly as fast as a stock S4, which is about as fast as a stock Cobra, if the honda added power so did the Audi.

  • I dont know who was driveing the Cobra, but i have a 96 gt with basic mods CAI exhaust ect... and i beat s2ks all the time (10 psi turbo) im sure the supercharger isnt makeing that much a difference..   • @2004svtterminator i've been in a jetta with a 2.0l 8v turbo thaqt pulled on a 98 camaro ss aftermarket supercharger with slicks, on a highway roll. deffenetly with half the HP of the camaro for sure. with a stock block. no joke i swear to god. a vw 2.0l block can stand up to 300+hp with premium gas and regular shit.

    i love muscle cars but thats for cars 1973 and older.

  • @VcottntailW Do you not realize that the blocks in the 96-99 cobras were made in Italy by the same people that make Ferrari blocks. That cobra is way better than the old 5.0. The blocks in the old 5.0 were technically good for about 500 hp the teskids blocks are good for 1500. The 96-99 Cobra's are nothing to mess with stock but even more lethal when modified.

    bigger injectors is to lower the duty cycle when your in higher horsepower ranges, instead of maxxing out your stockers. but judging by your statement "cheap power sux" you know nothing n/a or sc you are wrong

  • @gbt34 i like sc300's.i have been told by a mustang driver (5.0l convertable) to put a V8 in my jetta becuz it'll be worth having on the road while we were at a red light. so i called him out on it. my jetta is a '84 jetta so like half the weight. he couldnt keep up with me and he gave me the bird when i slowed down for him as i was laughing. sense then i have no respect for mustang drivers. a TDI is awesome. nothing like black smoke coming out a vw car. your out in the vegas area? guessing.

  • @TheNextAdventure Woah woah woah woah woah? Are you dumb? Fox bodies are by far the ugliest but best mustangs to own. They actually have a curb weight under 3000 lbs. You won't see the gains out of any other mustang for the price you pay. 5.0 is by far the cheapest and easiest way to go dude.

  • @Texarmageddon Only way the fox bodies are worth it is if you drag it, like I stated. anyone looking for a street car that they can do a few bolt ons here and there will make out much better with a 4.6 4v. Even a stock 2v will beat the 5.0. Only people really worried about weight of the car are draggers. If you buy spend 10k total in a 4.6 and 10k total in a fox body, in most cases you're still better off with the 4.6

  • @TheNextAdventure Do you not realize the price benefits over these engines? A 4v is quite a bit heavier than a 5.0. The only way you're going to have the advantage is if you do it yourself.. New heads and cams alone will take a good chunk of that 10k leaving you with about 7k. If you're paying someone to do it... you're left with even less due to the complexity of mod engines. Heads and cams would be 1.5k at best.

  • @Texarmageddon The benefits of the fox body begins to show after much more modifcation. I'm just saying dude, 10k in 4v will net you over 600 horses. If you go full bolt ons you're already at 350 n/a, then add a turbo, like an on3 turbo kit, easily at 600. If someone plans on investing more then 10k in mods, go fox body. If someone just wants to find a nice streetable car that will haul some ass you gotta go for the mod engines. 2v or 4v, even 3v.

  • @TheNextAdventure clearly you're forgetting about building your block. no matter how you look at it... OHV is going to be cheaper... other than superchargers/turbos.... the 5.0 assembly is just plain cheaper. For the price of one set of head for the ohc... you can buy two for the 5.0.

But for any normal person just wanting to get a fast as fuck car for not an insane amount of money, 4.6, any day. All day.

Building a block isn't hard if you know how to make measurements... its even less of a challenge when you just tell your machinist what you want (which is what we mostly do). 2v and 3v engines pop around 400hp. 4v COBRAs take quite a bit more. Mach 1 internals are a little softer than the cobra.

With a curb weight advantage and that horribly small hp disadvantage you're crazy. My question to you is do, you even own a 2v 3v or 4v? those 3 engine make good power if you have MONEY.... the 5.0 makes power even when you don't.

Go to a forum or a machinist... Do you understand how much parts cost for the 2v? Have you sat down once and looked? parts are 50-600 dollars more in every category. that adds up.

And right, so you can either go to a dyno to get the engine tuned, for the 5.0, or buy a once and done mail order tune from BAMA, and get your full bolt ons tuned and everything. Still gonna be cheaper then 5.0. And you're right, 2v's aren't great at all when it comes to a good v8, flow is bad, they don't respond insanely well to upgrades.

  • I've found some nice fox mustangs with 400 rwhp for 5 grand...not sure if that counts or not....anyways I like the Mustang...sounds good and has lots of torque and power...the raw power feeling and v8 rumble is something the honda just isn't going to ever have

  • Finally to shut you up I bought my S4 for 12K with 56k on the clock. I put about $2500 worth of mods on it with my own two hands, guess how much its worth now...$23,000. Now if that isn't resale and a positive profit I don't know what is? I still own 2 other cars for the fuck of it. I like fixing my cars because it is challenging and rewarding at the same time. I also make MONEY by fixing and modding shit for other people. Its called real experience my friend.

I never said everything is nice on a mustang or focus. There cheap thrills. I really doubt you have a clue at all especially by all the horrible grammar and lack of owning something nice.

  • There are some decent american cars. It's all about how you treat it in the end anyway. We have a 02' focus as a runaround and it has 145k in the clock. It's actually been way cheaper and more reliable than my 97 A4 2.8q with 140k on it. This is also coming from someone who owns a 410hp B5 S4. Mustangs between 99'-04' arn't that bad because I've owned one. It was actually really fun, people neglect to install support upgrades most of the time.

  • i gotta say tho audis are built better and faster with smaller engines they unfortantly have some of the worst resale values which is good to find a $3k 200 20v turbo that has 300bhp and all wheel drive but if you ever want to sell it youll be lucky to get $2k my 91 v8quattro 32 valve 5 speed was $50k when it came out but now id be lucky to get $3k

  • The B6 S4 comes with 340... the B5(the one in this vid) came with 250. However alot of B5 S4s have stage kits on them. Stage 3 pushes the B5s to 450awhp on pump, and 550awhp on race.

  • Correct.. the new S4s are V8s. Funny thing about the new S4s is that there was no bump in horsepower from the previous generation S4.. Both have 340hp V8s.

  • no. everybody thinks that all cobras are s/c. not true only 03/04 cobras are S/C'd/ this one is the first 4.6 to roll off the line. they are N/A with 300hp and 3.08,3.27 gears which are really tall. makes them slower.
