@jeffsst Eeehh... Brock Lesnar don't have BJJ and he a former champion. Same think is Cain Velazquez.. He no have a good BJJ but have a strong wrestling and punches... Don't be fanatic like brazilian people... I'm a brown belt in BJJ under Gracie Barra and a kick boxing practitioner, but I am see the reality... And BJJ it's no the base of MMA...
Pretty sure Fedor uses sambo as opposed to jiujitsu. That's not to say he doesn't use it or have learned any of it. Every MMA fighter likely incorporates it and learns a bit of it, but it not all of them are experts in it. Chuck Liddell, Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture are some guys who primary styles/ways of fighting don't revolve around BJJ and they still became champions. Typically its wrestling that dominates on the ground. Wrestling is more control over an opponent, BJJ being more submissions.
I agree, but I would say a good base in wrestling is definitely a plus in MMA. Takedowns = points. In a close decision fight, your ability to control your opponent on the ground is gonna earn you points and maybe the win.

Well, I wouldn't say he sucks at ground, he's an NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling champion. He's just not great at jiujistu.

He's going to fight Lesnar? Not a big Coleman fan but I hope Lesnar gets owned again. Stick to that phony crap you're used to.
