i have A top flite p-47 with rob. 606 retracts, how to i decrease the retract and extend speed??????? i already closed the needle valve all the way and its still very violent fast, just wanna know if there are any ways to make it really smooth and slow
At only 7 grams, the AR6000 receiver is specifically designed for lightweight, electric powered planes and helis. Better yet, it will deliver reliable range exceeding that of any other receiver sold specifically for parkflyers.
I would say you could. In his video he has an AR6000 receiver, which is a 6 channel "park flyer" tiny receiver and not a full range receiver. I have an AR7000 in mine. Planes go higher and further than you would fly a heli so it's unusual not to have a full range receiver installed. Anyway, the DX6i is 6 channels and you're only using 4 channels normally so I would say "Yes." Although I don't own a DX6i I have 2 DX7s and a JR9303.
BTW, I noticed you mentioned you added flaps as a mod...did you put the servos outside of the wheels? Or inside the wheels towards the middle, but closer to the back so they wouldn't get in the way of the landing gear.
Your plane looks killer, your mods are awesome. I'm soooo jealous. ;)
Hi ive always wanted to do this, have you got any plans on how to make retracts ( i dont understand very well), or if u avnt got any could you please make some and make them on paint, or could you make and instructiional video,
Thanks. I did not weigh the plane before the mods so I can only tell you that my plane with flaps and retracts now weighs 32.17 oz. without the flight battery installed.
GREAT JOB >>! i am thinking of Adding some Retracts on my new Parkzone corsaire . but i cant seam to find Any retracts with the rotating since the corsair gear comes up like hte p-40 . if you can help i would Appriciate it . GREAT job again .
Thanks. I have a Corsair too. The major problem with putting retracts in it is that the wing spar would be in the way. So I have not seen anybody figure out a way around this yet.
Very good!

SERVO SLOW MODULE!!!!!!! you may ruin your servos having them wack in like that, it will also look a lot better
vanepico 2 years ago 3
Thanks. got one from hobby city. works much better now.
wmcneal42 2 years ago
if youre nose steering servo is on your fornt wheel, then wont the retract damage it, or is it attached to a seperate module
angrygunsmith 2 years ago
Awesome, but maybe put a small door on the nose wheel?
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
That would be nice, but the nose wheel does not completely retract. It hangs out just a little so a door would not close all the way.
wmcneal42 2 years ago
could you use the dx6i for these retracts?

Yes. A DX6i will work fine.

Is this plane a good next step from a parkzone citabria? or should i go with the Hobbyzone Super Cub LP
SpartanDara117 2 years ago
Go with the Super Cub next, after that you can get a Trojan. Also, practice flying an aileron trainer on a simulator.
wmcneal42 2 years ago
Are you using the stock transmitter that came with it or a different transmitter? If you are using a different transmitter which one are you using?
lemons17771 2 years ago
I am using a Spektrum DX7 transmitter

I'm installing retracts on an E-Flite P-38. It's been a real bitch, but all I lack is fabbing the gear doors.

The flap servos are outside and just forward of the landing gear.
wmcneal42 3 years ago
That is so friggin cool...I can hardly stand it!! What did you use to cut and carve out the foam? It's perfect.

YoBroMan 3 years ago
I used a standard x-acto knife with number 11 blade.

are the retracts 90 or 85 degree

They are 90 degree.

my friend did this. but watch out u can break the servo in nose if u come in hard. Looked better then friends tho
blizzz191 3 years ago
I have since installed flaps on this Trojan so that really helps it float in for a nice slow landing.

Did you have to loose NWS in place of the retractable nose servo?
URSOFUNNYdotCOM 4 years ago
No, there is a separate servo for the nose wheel steering.
