I load my Sonic Idle sprite, click Optimize and, GUESS WHAT?! THE PALLETTE DOES NOT LOAD!!! I use bitmap images, but IT DOESNT WORK!!! Any way to fix this?

im having a slight problem whin i run win mugen my chracters invisible when i try to use it in the actual game i get a error message it says Error message: Can't load sonic.sff

Error loading chars/sonic/sonic.def

Error loading p1

and mugen exits out and theres no image on the character selection

@bakuganspectra in the opciones or something similar tab look for something that looks like langue or something. select which langauge you want to use and click applicar and hey presto youve got it in english

How many pixels tall is the average Mugen character?

@TheRealSaintRuckus Since I like the Melty Blood characters and since they seem to have a 'normal' size, I checked and for example Akiha is 101x55 pixels. So I guess working close to that size should be fine

@assaprince any size is fine, as you have the ability to scale your character via code in the constants section.

for example hi-res characters can be scaled at half size ect

There has to be a easier way to draw my own sprites. Cuz it's hard drawing other sprites after the 1st one. My sprites after the 1st one keeps changing in size and shapes and don't look anything like the first. I wish there was a way to just copy the first sprite over and over and just change a little without drawing them over from scratch each time. It's gonna take me a year just to get 1 animation down right. lol

no you make one palette from a single image and you can apply all of the sprites to it and convert them into pcx file (as long as they are using the same colours(like character sprites) you can add fx to the palette but theres a special way. palettes can also be made using photoshop

I just dl'd the regular Fighter Factory, but I think it's corrupted because I try to put in an image for the palette, then I click optimize, but it'll give me these two errors that keep popping up and I'm forced to close Fighter Factory.

i've gone through all your tutorials, thanks for the help. Just one thing i want to know... How do you restore the fighter factory to default? I accdiently deleted the sprites eg.65/65. Now it's only 1/1. How do i fix it. Also i deleted the Definition Area eg. player.act. The player.act area is gone.

I tried to reinstall it again, but when it loaded up. just As i had it before. So how do you put FIGHTER FACTORY to default?

um, yes I managed to find plenty of tutorials behind making palletes for MUGEN, making animations for MUGEN, adding characters, moves, properties but one has eluded me and this one didn't answer me: HOW DO YOU DRAW THE CHARACTERS?! I doubt it's as easy as drawing on photoshop or on paper, how do you make original characters...and please don't tell me they all come from mash-ups from sprites cause then those Mario and Sonic sprites like to disagree.

because mugen only reads pcx sprites. if you load bitmap sprites in part 2 then the char would come out wierd and mugen won't be able to read it. Don't worry, it's just a type of pic file that mugen reads. =p
