  • Genial.

I like you playing the winner takes it all and hope if you play some more songs from ABBA. I have a casio WK 3500. I schall try to play this song today.

Do you know it is also said that with CTK 5000 man can play als some oriental music for example arabic and turkish is it right?

I was very much pleased to hear you playing this song.

    My best regadrs

  • Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, the CTK 5000 can play oriental music.

  • i've had a ctk5000 since early this year but every time i try to convert my recorded songs to my computer (by using something called data manager) it converts it to a ".sp7" file, which i have no idea how to play or convert. i'm thinking of buying an sd memory card, will that change my recorded songs to something that i can then place on my computer and use?

    oh and great vid :D

  • @Ripshredz Yes, with an SD card it should save as mid which plays with Windows Media Player. However, thats pretty much all they do and apart from that are totally useless. However, there is a cheap software which does the job. I will make a video on how to get it free using something called runasdate, Please keep your eyes peeled on my other videos soon.

  • i bought one today and it did work but it converted them to the same type of files (.sp7). i read the manual that came with the casio ctk 5000 and i'm sure i've done everything right. i guess it's possible that i've missed something really obvious.

i've also been looking on the internet all the day for an sp7 converter or a program that can play it but with no luck.

i'll definately keep watch of your videos, any help will be most appreciated. :)

  • @Ripshredz OK, you're right, it is something really obvious. When you go to the card and 'SAV Rec.Song' You need to press the plus button once so it says 'SAV SMF 0'. This will save it as .MID and will play in Windows Media Player/Quicktime Player. Now today I'll make a video showing you how to convert this into MP3 for free, so keep checking back today as that is a promise!

  • cool, yeah it works! no sound but it works. i'm not really sure what a .MID file is but i think i get the basics. i tried searching for a .MID to mp3 converter and i found many that do it (even though i've read it's impossible to do so completely) but they all cost around $30. they all say they're free but when i download it it says "10 day trial!".

why is this so complicated? couldn't casio have made this a lot simpler?

  • Unfortunately, it is impossible for any keyboard to write to an MP3 without a converter. Yes, casio could've built a converter into the keyboard or on an SD card but for some reason they didn't. The video on the free converter will be up today, it's rendering as I speak. An MP3 will be more useable (like in video editors etc.). Also, if you want to share a piece, MP3 will be better.

  • Gostei muito do som do ctk 5000. Acho que Casio evoluiu muito com o ctk 4000 e 5000. Parabéns.

  • Hello, nicely selected harmony and voices, sounds great :) btw, how piano arpeggio starting at 1:00 is done? is it built-in with current style or you re-recorded it?

Also, can you record small sound clip with CAUCASSIAN acompaniment? I'm dying from curiosity, to hear, what casio meant with that :)

  • The arpegio is actually a fill in, which is built into the style.

Yes, I will record a clip with the Caucassian sound. Just wait a couple of days and I'll message you when it's up.

  • Drums have such carton box sound in general on CTK-5000 or this is due to recording from camera mic?

  • Yes, this is my camera mic. I can assure you that they are very good when listened to live. Unfortunately I don't have a good mic to record with.

  • very good

  • I just bought a 5000....looks great

  • sounds terrible

  • On casio's website says that the New Casio's Keyboard like Casio ctk 4000 have "AHL Sound Force" system. Casio WK-500, too. Both it uses same sound chip. I want to buy ctk 4000 because it cheaper. I'm interested in piano' sound, not piano' keys. But, is it same piano sound between ctk 4000 (that is equal to ctk 5000) and wk-500? See this link: youtube . com / watch?v=YrSZ-64rovc

  • Yes, they are the same sounds. Except, the casio ctk - 5000 has loads more.

  • super super super

  • Play more my friend !

    put anothers videos !

  • I'm working on a couple. One turned out to be harder than I though, but i've almost craked it! :) Plz watch more of my videos.

  • A note to everyone: The CTK is better than any PSR up to the stage of 413. After then, I don't know if the CTK 5000 get worse, I haven't checked after the PSR 413.

  • God, i want this synth, i have ctk 591 (i am not a musical lame !) and that have no pitch bender (how i can make good trance without pitch bender ? impossible...). i wanna buy this keyboard, that will make professional musician from me... so, what is the average price of this instrument in euro ?

  • go to dolphinmusic and search for the Casio CTK - 5000. Thats the cheapest I could find in euros

  • sorry I couldn't post the link, it kept getting blocked

  • Hi thanks for the warning.

I'm new to youtube sorry I didn't realize!

  • You play very nice! What Style (rhytm) you used for this song?? Sorry for my english, i'm from Poland

  • 183 - Piano Ballad 2.

  • thx :)

  • Can someone compare Casio CTK-5000 and Yamaha PSR-E413?Which is better in sound quality, functionalities?

  • I'm sorry, I haven't had the PSR E413. I'll see what I can do.

  • Hey Bro!

Nice Playing out there... Well Bro i have a request and i think lots of more ppl who are going to buy would request.... a Piano Solo Video.... i mean play some simple chord progressions and arps out there in the "St. Piano" the stereo grand piano.... I really want to hear that sound... Plz Plz make a small vid on that

  • I am currently learning to play The Scientist by coldplay. Only 1 or 2 days and it should be perfect. Will play on the St. Grand for you. Hope you like it.

  • Hi,

I was exploring to buy CTK5000.I'm a novice. A couple of questions.

    1. Will you be able to selectively enable, disable and record different tracks?

    2. Will you be able to store your composition on to your SD memory?

    3. Does the USB connection work?

Your reply is highly appreciated. I wanted to know from someone who is actually using it.thx, Ram.

  • 1. I don't know. i think it says something about this in the manual but haven't needed to use it so no help on that one.

    2. Yes, you can store any composition of yours on an SD card. It saves in SMF (Standord Midi File) format.

    3. I'm sure the usb connection does work. It it not the size that you get on your PC or Mac though. I can see the only use being a USB to USB Midi connection, but thats all.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hey, I just got this for Christmas and was wondering if you can upload midis onto it via the SD card slot?

  • You should be able to, yes. I haven't tried this. Any problems, ask me and I'll help you out.

  • I can upload MIDI files, but you need a certain software. This is a freeware app, not made by Casio and very little (almost not) known of. I'll make a video about this and post it onto mediafire.

  • thanks man ... this keyboard is awesome

  • your welcome. hope you like your new keyboard.

  • what kind of SD card do you have with yours

  • just the standard size SD card. If you use mini or micro SD, these sizes are too small. I think it can support up to 2GB.

  • what kind of power supply do you use for your ctk 5000 im getting this keyboard and it doesnt come with on

  • It uses the Casio AD5 power supply.

  • thanks man good vid

  • your welcome. Any questions, please ask. I hope you have loads of happy times with your new keyboard.

  • no, I buyed it, and it works with an AD5, but you should use an AD12. (first page in the manual)

  • I like those casio`s, The new series(everything from the WK-3000 qand up) are great.

With ZPI and Rythm Composing and sampling.

  • Can this electronic organ increase the tone color downloaded from the Internet in the sd card?

  • I'm sorry, this keyboard does not support Internet Direct Connection. The SD card is used more as an output. I mainly use it for storing memory presets and copying files to and from my computer.
