if you install 3GB, none wil get wasted, but you'll lose the dual channel mode because it's an uneven number

Actually, the best it the intel xeon server processor. The e7-8870 has 10 cores @ 2.40ghz each with hyper threading to 20 cores. The only downside is that it's a $5,000 processor. And it will probably be obsolete in six months.

@TobbenCod You can't have 4 GTX 590s. A GTX 590 has 2 GPU chips on a single PCB. This means you can only have 2 in SLi, which is the equivalent of 4 GPUs. Since a GTX 590 is comprised of 2 underclocked GTX 580s, 4 GTX 580s in SLi would be faster than 2 GTX 590s.
