@WolfsRainFan4ever but when japanese is translated you say the last thing first. so even though uta means song it would still be Song of Birds

@KHnaruto29 not necessarily the 'last thing'. you have to say the subject first. for example "Watashi wa Saito desu." you don't say 'is = desu' first. because YOU are the subject, you say 'I am = Watashi wa' first. But it's awesome of you for explaining :)

@MiSakuraYako Also, "desu" and "masu" are pleasantries. They don't mean anything specifically; its just a manner of being polite to others. When you are closer to someone, be it a friend or co-worker, you may not need to use it all the time, desu~

@MiSakuraYako Japanese sentence structure and English are radically different, yet incredibly similar. It takes some getting used to, really. If I say, "Watashi wa sugoi desu," it just translates simply to, "I am amazing." Mix it up a bit, "Kono sekai wa watashi no!" and you get "This world is mine!"

Like I said, different sentence structures :S

@KHnaruto29 Not necessarily true. The song is originally called "Tori no Uta." "Tori" is bird, and "Uta" is "Song." "No" *can* be used to show possession, such as in this case. "Tori no," means that the "Bird' is in possession of, so it's "Bird's." "Uta" is song, so there you go: "Bird's Song"
