@hymogue I went to the canon SX30IS because it has more zoom (around 40% more zoom) that sony HX100V, Sony DSC-HX100v Has a CMOS-family sensor often produce better quality images. To choose between Canon SX30IS and Sony DSC-HX100v is not easy.
@plutao10000 actually,choosing between the DSC-HX100v and the SX30...or sx40 actually now was very easy for me. The sony has no external flash capacity which is a must if you want quality pics...so canon it is...
I have to choose between Sony HX100V and this one. The SX30IS is looking very slow and also a slower AF.

@hymogue I got this camera about three weeks, take pictures in low light fantastic, I have not tried video in low light yet sorry.
