You better take it easy cromaticstinkz. You should accept that Didem is so beautiful and wiht only 23 years a marvelous dancer and performa. Or you will get a pronounced psychosis girl.....
Süpersin Didem ve seni kiskancliktan cekemiyenler, catir catir catlasin
yeah she said that she was a roman gypsy girl..but that's very far from her blood.since she is turkish, her mom grec and her father yougoslavian. That's a great mixture.
Well,my dears,I hadn't misunderstunding,I know very more about romans, anyway, the biggest part they live in Romania.BUT,actually very much people cofuse the ROMANS with the ROMANIANS
That was the reason I asked .And I know you know it
Yeah great, the only thing missing throughout her darbuka solo's is the Arabic walk. She might as well throw that in for good measure since she features those rhythms in her routines. There's other stuff missing now that I think of it. Maybe she could get an Egyptian choreographer to put some beledi back into it for her.
yes, what you said it's true, but you have to remember that in the turkish stile they don't use to have some "arabic or egyptian" movements. It is because the egpytian folk movements don't have any "folk" feeling and meaning for the turkish people because the culture is very different. The turkish people also hear the rythms completely different as the arabs, they pay more attention to the great accents.
You are so right, I'm looking at it from Egyptian perspective concerning Didem. Egyptian is considered most wholistic, highest technicians of the dance to express feeling. Turkish focus is different. When Turkish incorporate Egyptian rhythm and music it's not Egyptian anymore and the point is mute.
oh my gosh!!! she just keeps getting better. this is one of my favorit didem videos. she has such a spark and a natural and incredible understanding of her body. one of the best and controlled dancers ive ever seen.
Actually it's the opposite. Arabised Middle East lost the spirit & dignity, not Anatolia that was never colonized and arabized. Unfortunately Kemal Atatürk couldn't reach to the rest of the World of Turkey, the Ottoman land and became the barbarian 'Arabic World'.
why don't you just keep on trying hard to join the EU, and leave the belly dance for the belly dance people the Arabs who invented the dance and the music for your info Ata my ass boy,, the guy on the Tabla is an Arab... even the music and dance wanna write it on your name.. wasn't enough more then 500 backward ottoman colonization ...fooo
You know what the colonizers told you, not the historical & hidden truth they'll never tell you. They're an isolated & insignificant minority of non-immigrants in Saudi Arabia that were known as the uncivilized ignorants in the Muslim World. How did semi-barbars enlighten Mesopotamia, Egypt, etc? The opposite happened.
The belly dance is a product of Eastern CIVILIZATION, and probably comes from, or was influenced by India. Indeed, your concept of history & identity is typical French colonial propaganda which explains the ridiculous hate in your messages.
i guess you are lost bro... what i see is inconstancy in your comments like the whole recent Turkish situation.. and by the way the Arabs are the people who speaks the language from which 60% of your language made of.. and as i told you go and keep on trying hard being part of the western wold because we do not recognize you any more as part of the middle east or eastern country neither the west consider you a European country.. your just lost.. lost... now get lost and take off from my sight
Your mistake is that you believe Eastern Civilization is Arabic because the fabricated Modern Arabic language is widespread today, and that linguistically arabised nations in the past (with Islam) were culturally arabised as well and called themselves Arabic (which would be an insult). Neither Islam was culturally & philosophically built by Arabs. In other words, Islamic culture, architecture, arts and science isn't Arabic.
Turkey is isolated and has difficulties, but it's not lost. If it had been colonized and part of the Arabic World it would be! Now only the colonized Middle East is lost, and backed by West Europe to stay that way too, permanently, which is why they don't want any Anatolian influence in the Middle East. Today with all their wealth generated by oil, and supposed freedom from evil 'Turkish colonialism', oil-free Anatolia still manages to be the better country in the Muslim World.
You might 'imagine' you're right, but history proves anti-colonial Anatolia is right, not colonized Middle East. If you're a bit critical and let go the mindless arabic chauvinism you might realize that.
I don't know maybe it's just me...But I kind of relate Shakira's moves to Didem's. It's like Didem's is the more technical style and Shakira's is the more mainstream style:) But I really see the similarities in their styles.
I really think all her more recent dances have become more fluid and flowey, she seems to have become more elegant in her moves. I guess she keeps getting better!
If Beyoncé would have been a bellydancer to begin with, the BOMB -with her talent and figure. Luckily for Didem, she's just a world class famous singer instead.
I really am fascinated with Didem's bellydancing style. She clearly shows her precise movements. She doesn't just roll her belly or shake her hips but she accurately combines her fine movements and match them with every beat of the drums. You can clearly see the isolated movements. Very extraordinary!!
