  • omg missionary??

  • mandy and heather were also in the same movie in princess diaries

  • After viewing a wide range of movies, one sees a coordinated management strategy to ridicule and villianize Christianity. Another strategy presents Jews as victims of oppression or as a decent, pious people. Negative stereotypes are NEVER used to ridicule Jews in movies or the media. Correctly, any insult to Jews is met with force by the White Jewish community. Strangely, insults to Christianity are unopposed. US media controls US society & culture. Isreal is NOT your friend.

  • @locatebob thats because radical christians are a JOKE. you dont see jews going around imposing their beliefs on everyone like fanatical evangelical christians, selling their religion on tv like a god damn infomercial product. theres just way too much to make fun of! so laugh with everyone else and enjoy!

  • @dbudell okay. We get it.

  • @dbudell how many times are u gonna say that?

  • Jews and Arabs are both semitic ethnic groups, so before the Jews were expelled from Judea and sent to mingle with Europeans they looked the same as Arabs. Bethlehem in those days was part of Judea, or the Roman-occupied Kingdom of Israel. If Jesus existed, he was a Jew, not an Arab. But Jews and Arabs are like Englishmen and the Scotts... kinda the same thing.

  • the bit with the gay website freaked me out when i was younger :L

  • Oh, and the biblical Jesus was Jewish. Obviously.

  • @HaroldWillet you are an ignoramus. 1. Why and how would "facing each other" be what's so special about sex? 2. Sex was designed by something called evolution (which explains the "facing each other" convienience. 3. You and other fools here obviously miss the antireligious satire that this movie plays on, which is more hilarious than the movie itself.

  • i love the song at the beginning!!!!

  • im not christian anymore and i love this movie! i really think it satires those few hypocritical christians well

  • Why are you not a Christian?? And how can you not be one ANYMORE?

  • I don't know what to believe. I used to be one but my beliefs changed.

  • What made you change? I would love to help out any way that I can.

  • it's okay. And my local preists here were just bashing things constantly. They bashed gay people, jews, everyone who wasn't them. My boyfriend is a jew and when i brought him to church with me... they wouldn't let him in. that and my grandma died in a car crash...

  • Well, that is wrong and, again, it's not true Christianity. Bashing is not it. To be quite honest, Catholism isn't even real Christianity because they believe Mary is diety and divine and part of the godhead. That isn't so. It's JUST Jesus. It's only Christ. If you would like to keep in touch, I can take you through the Bible - YOURS - and show you truth.

  • um, thank you but it's okay. for one thing, I respect your beliefs but i read what you said about the homosexuals and do not think that is okay. If there is a God, he would accept all peoplev as they are and love them for them. I think that God is a merciful and accepting one. And i've read the bible. It may say that but i think that God is more loving than your giving him credit for. Please don't take any offense to what i'm saying. I'm stating my opinion.

  • I'm sorry if I make God out to be less loving. He IS love. He made love. There is definitely a God...and He does accept all people - just like they are, however, when the only God dwells in your life, you change!

God is love, like I said. But people have their choice. They can either accept Christ's love and believe OR they can reject it and suffer in hell. Some call it negative, but my goodness, Jesus made a way out! Plus, we did it to ourselves.

  • God is perfect and we are not. We sin and we mess up. God doesn't. So why should we think that imperfect people could enter into a perfect Heaven and see a perfect God who, according to the Bible, "cannot look upon sin." THAT'S why Jesus came! He came to offer us a way - THROUGH HIM - to enter into Heaven. When we accept His love and His sacrifice on the cross, HE takes our sin and our shame and we are then made perfect in the eyes of God. That's salvation. :) That's LOVE!

  • This movie is so awesome!

  • I'm a christian, but I freaking love this movie. Because honestly there are so many christians that are hypocrites like this.

  • love the girly movie, all christians go home

  • its a great satire cant stand christians :)

  • @XxXMirkaXxX19 same here

  • You've got problems if you think all Christians act like this. For the record, this movie was directed by Michael Stipe, a homosexual.

  • Homosexuals can't be christians?

  • They can be if they repent and stop what they're doing. Romans chapter 1 says that God will judge that lifestyle (which is a choice, not something you're born with). It's unnatural affection. God created male and female and all throughout the Bible (Genesis, Dueteronomy, Leviticus, etc) He commands his people not to lie (sleep with, have relations with, etc) memebers of the same sex. But if they will believe the truth and repent from their sin and lifestyle, Jesus will save them. :)

  • They can be even if they don't stop what they're doing. Believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins is not contingent on where you like to stick your dick, or whether or not you like dick. I can't say whether or not people are born gay, and I don't think it matters. But I am sure that if you were gay, you'd feel differently about homosexuality, because you wouldn't have the luxury of judging other people's situations without a thought for what they go through.

  • That's just an excuse. Even Paul the Apostle said in his letter to the Corinthians that homosexuals would not enter into the kingdom of Heaven. The Corinthians were extremely immoral at the time Paul wrote to them.

  • What's an excuse? And so what if Paul wrote that gays wouldn't enter the kingdom of heaven? Paul was never a prophet, instructed by God. He was simply a man who decided to devote his life to spread the word of Jesus, who, by the way, never condemned gays. Paul's words are only his opinion; they are not based on absolute truth. But then again, nothing in the bible is absolute truth.

  • Paul WAS a man, true, but the entire Bible is God-inspired. GOD wrote the Bible, using the hands of man. Jesus didn't write Matthew, Mark, Luke and John where all His words were recorded. No, He used His followers and disciples to write them, but it was through Christ that they did. I mean, think about it, you have 66 books in the Bible, spanning four thousand years....you have carpenters, doctors, fishermen, scholars, etc. and not one time do they contradict themselves. That is a miracle.

  • All I have to say to this post is that they don't contradict themselves because the Bible was pieced together by people who had nothing to do the people that wrote the gospels, because that's what they wanted "the truth" to be. There were many gospels and writings that didn't make it into the bible. The bible is not a pure account; it has been translated and re translated, changed and edited many times over the course of history to the point where I don't believe it can be used as literal truth.

  • But going back to homosexuality, if you won't take Paul's writings as truth, or Moses, or any other Godly man whom Christ used to write HIS words...if you won't believe that, then you wouldn't believe it even if Jesus did write it. I pray that your eyes will be open to TRUTH. Not opinions, not religions, but TRUTH.

  • What is "truth"? Truth is the words of a man who never met Jesus, who never claimed to be a prophet? Truth are the words written down in a book that has been translated and retranslated, edited, and manufactured so many times? I can't take these things as truth. All I can take as truth is what is in my heart. And in my heart, there is nothing wrong or spiritually damaging about being gay. And you can only follow what is in your heart, what you believe, and that is your truth. But it isn't mine.

  • Okay. But personally, a statement like "your truth" and "my truth" is a bit wavering. I mean, there must be an absolute truth; one truth for all. If there isn't, than that mean we, humans, have no purpose, no design, nothing.

Look closely at your statement. If you're saying that there is no way to know what's really true, then you are saying THAT STATEMENT is true. What if my truth says your truth is a lie? What if my truth says it's okay to murder, lie and steal? Is it still truth?

  • There has to be an absolute truth. There has to be a one law for all. It isn't about everyone making things up as they go and doing whatever is right in their own eyes. Because if so, then we shouldn't have laws and we shouldn't put criminals in jail. Rape and murder and stealing is okay IF humanity is instructed to just "follow our heart." No. That's not good enough because most all hearts are evil. Do you see what I'm saying. God gave us His laws and His rules... He gave us HIS truth.

  • Yikes! I wouldn't say that most hearts are evil at all. The vast majority of people around the world, no matter where they come from, uphold certain things like the value of life, truth telling, kindness, generosity, etc. Because as humans we all have similar physiological needs, like the need to be loved, cared for, and accepted. But something like being gay does not directly cause pain and suffering like rape or murder does, so it's a grey area that people need to form their own truths about.

  • "The vast majority of people around the world, no matter where they come from, uphold certain things like the value of life."

And you know this based on what, did you take an international census to see how many people value life and truth telling, and which don't? Your statement does not hold much water as there are currently 51 countries that don't believe in freedom of speech seeing as they prohibit the open spreading of the Gospel.

  • As I stated previously, people have certain physiological needs which compel them to uphold core values, because without valuing life a society would cease to exist and without truth telling no one could trust one another, and as humans, we need to be able to trust one another to work and live together.

By "truth telling", I didn't mean freedom of speech, I meant people trusting and working with one another.

  • Also, if most hearts aren't evil, then explain why there are thousands globally that rape, murder, steal, snort and inject illegal drugs and cocaine, as well as hundreds that die from drunk driving and suicide? Those people do not value life when committing such acts. Did the terrorists that brought down the WTC towers value life? Do arab terrorists value life when they slaughter hundreds of Jews a year? You're not really presenting a valid case for yourself.

  • Unfortunately, there are many people who do not have their physiological needs for love and acceptance met, so they engage in self damaging behaviour. There are others who aren't mentally well. There are many people who live in desperate circumstances and commit acts of violence not because they like to, but because they have to in order to survive. That doesn't mean they have evil hearts. And yes, even terrorists and Nazis value life, though they have warped world views.

  • "And yes, even terrorists and Nazis value life, though they have warped world views."

That has to be the most ridiculous and contradicting statement I have ever read in my life. Somewhere in your line of thinking you have blindly convinced yourself that people who kill others for a living appreciate the value of life. I don't know how things are done up in Canada, but here in the USA, if you voluntarily murder someone else, you are not deserving to live out the rest of your life.

  • They value life because they are still human beings, and as human beings we need to value life otherwise our species wouldn't continue to survive. Just because they commit heinous, disgusting acts of violence doesn't mean that they are no longer human, it just means that they are royally screwed up.

There's no death penalty in Canada, but I don't see how that's relevant.

  • Sorry to say, but I am arguing with a brick wall. Everything I have said so far you have come up with every excuse to counter argue it because either you know I am making sense or because you're too self absorbed in your own personal opinions that you blatantly refuse to consider the other side of the issue. You justify homosexuality as ok and believe that terrorists can essentially be good people. There's no point in continuing as you ignore what I have to say each time I respond.

  • Dude, I don't know why you are getting so defensive and rude. This is just a youtube conversation, and we're just going back and forth with our ideas. But I wouldn't accuse me of being self absorbed since you clearly think very highly of your own opinion. But if you're going to get hysterical than I'm going to stop responding to you. I don't think I've done anything to deserve disrespect, but I sure as hell don't take this kind of crap in real life, so I'm not going to take it here.

  • In retrospect, if a vast majority of the world valued life and peace, the death count per year would decrease rapidly and the only ones who would then die would be those of incurable diseases and of old age.

  • Why do we have to all follow the same path and live the same lives in order to give our lives validity? There can't be one way because we are not all the same person. But just because there isn't one way doesn't mean that our lives have no purpose. If anything, it gives our lives purpose because there are so many ways we can shape our destinies. Wouldn't it be boring and meaningless if everyone lived the same way?

This is an interesting question, and I'll get to it in my next post.

  • The statement "there can't be only one way because we are not all the same person" is an escape goat to justify that there's no such thing as good and evil in this world. Why does it have to be boring for more people to live the same morally? If there's more than one way to get to Heaven, then are you living any better than I am regardless of your life goals? If you ask me, we're all the same if there isn't one single absolute truth to be found.

  • What I'm getting at here is that you can be gay but still live morally. I can be gay but still go to church, give to charity, and love everyone and treat everyone as my own. Am I still going to hell? Is there really only one way to get to heaven, and that's by being straight? I simply can't believe that. I can't accept as truth that a person can be damned simply on the basis of who they sleep with, just like most can't accept that a person can be damned for masturbating.

  • There is a Scripture to counter your statement "All I can take as truth is what is in my heart." Jeremiah 17:9 says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" Truth is not absolute if everyone has their own version of truth. You'd never know what is truth, and what is fiction if you based it on your own personal beliefs and opinions all the time. If my truth says you're wrong, does that make it true?

  • "If my truth says you're wrong, does that make it true?" Yes it does-to you. If you believe that being gay is wrong, than that is your truth. But it isn't mine. There are certain things a society needs to uphold in order to function- no lying, stealing, murdering, things like that, otherwise no one could trust one another. Prohibition on homosexuality is not essential to keeping a society functioning, so it is left up to us to decide what we believe to be true.

  • That makes absolutely no sense. How is something going to be true to one person and be a lie to someone else? There'd be no reason to believe in anything at all if truth was what we made of it. If I say 2+2=5 and say it is the truth, THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE if the answer all along has always been 4. You can't all of a sudden make something true if it can't be proven as true.

  • Dude, we aren't talking about science or math and you know it. We are talking about the great mysteries of the universe that have no definite answer. Are gays going to hell? I don't know. Neither do you. Is there some way to prove it one way or the other? No. Can either of us go to heaven or hell, and see for ourselves? No. Can either of us talk to Paul, Mark, Matthew, or God directly and ask them? No. So neither of us has the absolute truth. It's not something you can plug into a math equation.

  • Math is a perfect example of absolutes. If Bob is 25 years old, and Matt is twice his age, that makes him 50 years old. Their original birth certificates are proof that they are exactly 25 years apart. You have to be intellectually stupid to disregard there being such thing as absolute truth. You cannot set a $20 bill on the ground and say that no one will pick it up and assume it's truth because once it happens, it alters what you thought was truth.

  • Once again, we are not arguing math or science, but philosophy and religion. Unlike with math, one cannot prove that homosexuality will send you to hell, or damn you, etc. Something cannot be an absolute truth if there is absolutely no way to prove it.

  • Here is something to think about. If you say something is the truth and someone completely debunks it with logical evidence and examples, then it's no longer truth even if you claim it in your mind. Based on your logic, nothing is truth and everything we see and touch is opinion. I hope you don't have a degree in psychology because your arguments would contradict it.

  • Have you been able to debunk my claim that homosexuality is fine and natural, using logical evidence or examples? No. When I say that nothing is truth in regards to philosophy and religion, I am saying that there is no way to absolutely prove any claim, therefore each person has their own truth. In regards to philosophy or religion. Not talking maths or science.

  • You said a man can be a Christian even if he continues in homosexual behavior. Christ never preached that it was ok for 2 of the same sex to marry or to have intercourse with one another. Scripture also says "because there is such immorality in this world, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband." And if Paul's words are only his opinion, it must have been a pretty effective and strong opinion to be instructed by God to write them down in a book over 500 yeard old.

  • He never said it wasn't okay either. The scripture also says that masturbation is a sin punishable by death, that a camel has a better chance of passing through the eye of a needle than a rich man has of getting into heaven. But do we agree with that? Do we regard that as truth, and do we practice it in our lives? Everyone has a different truth.

Paul was never instructed by God and Paul's writings got into the bible because it made the cut, whereas other writings didn't.

  • The statement about the rich man wasn't that a rich person cannot be saved and go to Heaven, but that a person with everything tends to think that their "stuff" makes them good, when the Bible says "None is good, no not one." Salvation is when we get humble and real and say, "You know.... I am nothing. God gives me breath, God gives me life. I mess up, I'm not perfect, etc" and then cry out to God who became our substitute. A perfect God became sin to save a bunch of humans who spit in his face.

  • Yes, but another key component to that would be that the rich man has to give up his things to be fully repentant. Because if he keeps them and stays a rich man, he does so because he thinks that he is entitled to have more than he really needs, which, according to Jesus, is wrong.

  • Paul's writings were more than just those 13 books in the New Testament. And the writings that "made the cut" as you put it were God-breathed and God-inspired. They made it in because God ordained it and made it so. We tend of over-think the simplicity that is God.

Getting back to homosexuality, God IS against it. Read Genesis, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Jeremiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Jude.... it's there. It's just our choice to accept it or reject it.

  • If your truth is that everything in the bible was divinely inspired and is correct, then I can't argue with it, because there is no way to prove it either way. My truth is that the bible was written by man, not by God, so all the bible proves is that man is against homosexuality, for reasons like it wastes semen that should be used for baby making, it would be wrong to have a husband, as if you were a woman, and no man wants to be a woman, etc.

  • Here's one thing you completely ignore. Have you ever considered the fact that "one's version of truth can be pure fiction?" There's no need for truth in this world if everyone had their own separate views.

  • Yes, I have considered that. And I said that earlier, that you have your truth, and I have mine. To you, my truth is false. To me, your truth is false. There's no way to prove either of them, therefore they are both equally true. And there is a need for truth in the world. We as humans are inclined to seek it. But when it comes to things we don't yet understand and can't prove, we just have to adopt our own truths.

  • Would it matter at all if I were to prove that there is one God and that is the God of the Bible.... would "my truth" suddenly be right? Or would you go on believing "your truth" just because it's "logical" ??

  • Everyone does not have a different truth, you're dancing around the issue. Are these words coming from your own mouth, or are you consulting a humanist before answering? Your responses indicate that some secular humanist has brainwashed you into thinking that anything you believe, even if it is completely false, can be truth if you tell yourself it is truth. And how do you know Paul was never instructed by God, did you ask him yourself? Of course not, because he lived hundreds of years ago.

  • We have both shown that we have different truths. You believe that homosexuality is a sin, and I don't. Yours is true to you, mine is true to me, and they are both equally valid because neither is provable. And you don't need to disrespect me by suggesting that someone is telling me what to type and that I'm brainwashed.

No, I haven't. Have you? Probably not. So neither of us knows for sure.

  • I agree. This is a mockery of Christianity. TRUE Christianity, that is.

  • Actually, I think Michael Stipe based the script on his own personal experiences with Christians. Like the main character in Saved, he was ostracized and ridiculed by other Christians for being a homosexual. Instead of sharing the love of Jesus with him, they just told him how he'd burn in hell if he didn't repent. Saved was sort of his response to that kind of judgment. There are more "so-called" hypocritical Christians in this world than we think.

  • There is a fine line between showing love to homosexuals and accepting the lifestyle. Hate the sin, love the sinner. I agree that FAR too many Christians either bash them completely and run them off from Christ and salvation, OR accept them completely with no negative things to say about the lifestyle that God calls an abomination. Christians need to understand the heart and Jesus and learn that fine line.

  • I like where you're coming from. Unfortunately, some gays don't deserve respect because even when people like you and I tell them civilly that God is not accepting of their lifestyle, they still get defensive and are like "God doesn't send people to hell He loves, that would make Him an ungrateful tyrant." People who are in love with their sin will never come to terms with their wrongdoings. Ultimately, only God can get ahold of them when that happens.

  • thanks for uploading this movie! you're the best :D
