AS MUCH AS YOU'D ALL LIKE TO THINK THIS WAS (ok now that I have your attention, I'll stop the caps) "when the show was funny." In actuality, the show was almost canceled in this stretch in the early to mid 90's. They cleaned house at the end of the 1994 season (look it up) and at the beginning of the 1995 season when Will Ferrel, Chris Katan, Anna Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, etc. came on the show started getting great ratings again, because they are great improv performers; not stand-up comedians.

The best snl cast was the one from the early 90s to mid 90s. Dana Carvey, adam sandler, mike myers, chris farley, david spade, etc. But, the current cast isnt too bad. Ive seen some funny stuff lately.
