  • where's the LEMON? This is the farthest thing from a Caesar Salad EVER! Vegetable oil? RU KIDDING ME??? Most of the ingredients and all of the processes are just wrong.

  • @swim2lakes Hi there, this is from our Food Director Annabelle Waugh: "Any time we call for vegetable oil, we mean any light-tasting neutral oil, which means you can definitely use light olive oil. Extra-virgin oil can also be used but will have a much more assertive flavour. You can definitely use lemon instead of the vinegar. The great thing about this version is that it uses pantry staples. But either will work well!"

  • Also caesar salad without meat bacon bits is an heresy. If you worry about the fat just use pre-cooked bacon and water-based caesar dressing(a whole bottle has less calories and fat than 3 tablespoons of soybean/canola based dressing and taste pretty much the same). If your a vegan go with simili-bacon bits (it's all soy so it's ok for vegan).

    Raw seal meat is delicious ! You just make sure you thoroughly club the seal first so it is nicely tenderized.

    OMG, what a gourmet,

    without anchovies it wouldn't be caesars salad.

    Too bad you're not gonna try it. Your loss.

    The best way to make this salad is tableside in a wooden bowl which is only used to make caesars salad.

    Of course all ingredients have to be mixed just so, and you'll never have a 'fishy' taste.
