  • Wel lookie there folks!! The big banks were bailed out and giving billions in YOUR tax dollars. Then they are turning around and kicking you out of YOUR home! while you struggle to feed your baby with both you and your spouse working 2 jobs they jack up the interest rate on all your credit cards. They steal your money and then sue you for money accrued in the late fee scam. TAX THE RICH

  • Social health care and day care does not spell communism but bailing out banks and giving them tax breaks on the money they stole does.

( coersion ) = too big to fail

( theporksicle) = Retard ( I think Bill Oreilly needs a blow job so get to work )

( daveusaz ) = smacked you down really hard :=)

  • Socialism can be a wonderful thing if it is used properly, and other countries like Denmark and Sweden show that good forms of socialism work. It's not a bad thing that other people make it out to be, and let's face it, capitalism with hardly any restrictions is more trouble than it's worth. The best thing that we could do is become a capitalist-socialist country, where both ideas are combined into one. After all, progress is learning from mistakes and correcting them, and we need correction.

  • @LiberalConstitution Socialism and Capitalism are like water and oil. Socialism is the end of class exploitation and the implementation of real democracy, capitalism is a system of exploitation of the many by the few.

  • Now, I know that WW2 was the biggest helper for giving people jobs to make things like guns and tanks, and I also know that a war would not be good now at all. However, we can get through this recession just like the Great Depression if we just let the big businesses fall, tax the rich heavily, and use that money to put people to work. We can also use tax money to create socialized education, universal healthcare, and better benefits of social security that cover unemployment up to 1 year.

  • We can put people to work by giving them jobs to pave roads, build bridges, make shoes, whatever we need in this country. That way, everyone has a job. Now, the rich may get angry and everything, but what can they do? Honestly, even if they shut down theie business, people will still have jobs, so it won't have a large effect. It all makes since to do the same things that we did during the Great Depression because those things worked.

  • What we need to do is we need to bring our jobs back overseas, and we need to make American and buy American so that we get money flowing into the economy again. We also need to make good quality products so that other countries buy American again as well. That way, we will have money flowing into our country and circulating in our country. Here's where socialism comes in: We heavily tax the rich, we don't tax the poor or middle class as much, and we use that money to put people to work.

  • Actually, socialism isn't a way towards fascism at all. There is a wide variety of types of socialism, including communism which isn't the type I want anyway. When you think about it, we are in the same situation that we were in before the Great Depression; that being that people are afraid to spend money, and since they're keeping it, people who work aren't getting paid. Then workers are laid off, and then they don't spend money. It's a domino affect.

  • Tax=theft. What gives the government the right to steal people's money and spend it on other people?

  • Tax=theft. What gives the government the right to steal people's money and spend it on other people?

  • Sanders is a good man, I don't like his politics, but he is an honest person.

  • Since when can tax laws be created in the Senate? The rich pay for the rest to work. Just because you make less than someone else, doesn't mean they should pay. That is called socialism.

  • I am a socialist, and I think that socialism would be a wonderful thing. We should be taking more money from the rich and less from the poor and middle class. That's what I call fair.

  • What gives the government the right to steal from anyone, rich or poor? Most rich people didn't cause the recession either. If a business is failing its failing either because it has flawed business practices or its services/goods are not demand, we need to let them fail.

Socialism is a violent and coercive ideology anyway, akin to fascism.

  • @theporksicle The only smart thing you said was "let them fail" if congress would have let the banks fail you would be singing a different tune But we would not look so stupid for giving them so much money for being irresponsible.

So you, my friend, can go back to sitting on your porksicle and tell us what flavor it is, because it so clear, that, it is the only thing you are qualified to do. So sit down and shut UP!!!!!

  • @daveusaz1218

So you disagree that socialism is a coercive ideology? Or am I wrong in that respect too?

  • @theporksicle And Capitalism isn't coercive?

  • @theporksicle Stealing? So how will bridges and highways be built? A collection plate, perhaps?

  • Also. The wealthiest 20% of Americans account for 70% of consumption (in terms of cash, not the commodities themselves). Only a retard would want to tax them heavily, so they get taxed, they have less disposable income, they spend less at bars, restaurants, shops and on holidays and people who work in the aforementioned businesses lose their jobs.

Lowering taxes is the way forward, it will help to stimulate the economy organically.

  • @theporksicle Sounds like you are one of the few with their head up their ass.

  • @theporksicle Assuming that what you say is true, that does not change the fact that their Marginal Propensity to Consume is lower than that of the middle class and poor. It's more efficient to tax the rich, to move the burden to the rich than it is to shift it to the lower classes. That they consume so much is a function of the incredible inequality and is an indictment of the US system.

  • Eat less. Walk more. Sleep at least nine hours (a natural weight loss therapy is "healthy amount of sleep). Sleep deprivation cause the body to go into stress and stress (the unhealthy kind) "puff" one up like a "steroid" man. Consume less & SPEND LESS. Produce LESS toxic WASTE and LESS acid rain. Stop poisoning my favorite dish- FISH and spraying the FRUITS & veggies w/ chemicals from Halliburton. Who OWNS the chemical food industry, highway construction, dye and drug industry?

  • It is all these "chemical" industries and "clothing/fashion" that produce TON of toxins on earth & we BUY all these toxins that make us POOR & SICK (just b/c of "america is great" FAD- they (TV owned by MickeyMouse) FOOLED us for two generations. They are laughing all the way to the TROPCAL ISLAND while we have no means to clean "Katrina Mess". They have AROMA THERAPY while we smell Diabetes from the SODA they sold & Alzheimer loss from the "aluminum SODA cans" & many more products-TOXIC.

  • "ourearthome"- You are from the GOLF & Bank owners FAMILY. I can smell it. You have been taught the WRONG religion my boy/girl. Your argumrnt is "outdated". The PEOPLE of USA cannot be duped w/ kid "economy" anymore. We are SICK of "buying, buying & having "garage" sale for your "mommy/daady" -sold us "trinkets" while abusing INDIAN kids and China. STOP this GLOBAL evil & consume LESS. SAVE the EARTH as you "cynically" indicate. You need a five year PhD course to understand the crook- your dad.

  • i need someone smart to keep me entertained

why cant i see the video Ba

  • Tax the rich...wow. This man doesn't know economics very well. If you tax the rich, It's only going to trickle down to the middle class, and negatively affect us too. Let's simplify it here. Say you work at a big company, And your boss, maybe a few secretaries above you etc. are rich...obviously. lets say the government decides to tax the rich, in turn your boss (and others above you) would immediately lose profit. in turn they'd pay you (the lower employee) less or stoop to outsourcing or worse

  • "chadpron1"- actually the below answer for "ourearthhome" goes for you more than for him/her. YES, YES, must tax the rich & get the stolen money back to the FARMERS & food producers. You know waht - the "boss" system you said must be scrapped from the face of earth- they are the "vermins" that CREATE poverty (even for farmers- who supply us FOOD). When all is said & done we need "pesticide and chemical toxin free food" (not a whole lot to give a heart attack & diabetes)-JUST TO hane HEALTHY mind

  • I still don't believe you need to tax the rich just because a bunch of them are corrupt greedy crooks. I do agree however that more money needs to be put into the pockets of deserving farmers. I live in the midwest, so I know exactly what you mean. But taxing the rich because of a few rotten apples is ludicrous. Poverty isn't the result of the boss system, it's because a lot of people don't know how to live within their means, and people are picky when it comes to occupations and work.

  • Sanders doesn't understand or just won't talk about the fact that the only form of taxation that will not be destructive is the tax on land value which, because it is created 100% by the community, does not penalize anything labor or capital does. Continuing the taxation of labor and capital in this environment will only make the problem worse and play into the legitimate complaints of conservatives about bad taxation. Taxation of community created land values is the only good and just tax.

  • Do you really think we can support a federal budget on land taxes alone?

  • Yes and with plenty to spare. But of course it would not be a good idea to switch to this kind of taxation all at once. There are plenty of ways to change the existing income tax to go after income and gains from land transactions while shifting away from taxation on earned incomes from wages and real capital investment in productive and job creating assets. I would also want to see states switch their property taxes to land value taxes only. Google Prof. Mason Gaffney for a full discussion.

  • He has integrity unlike most of the other senetors. I wish there were more like him.

  • F here . very horny. lOL h

  • I wish he was our next president

  • Ageed. Though I'm Swedish, so it figures.

  • Uhhh...The wealthy can handle it better than the working class. The working class that had almost nothing to do with it except for the fact that they were targeted for shitty refi's by money hungry banks! So yeah. Tax the rich!

  • send the rich to guantanimo

  • Everyone, including Sanders, says that we must act now but no one explains exactly what the problem is and what the emergency is. Who cares if big banks on Wall St. or some big corps. fail? Exactly how does that affect America or me? Its poorly explained and therefore I'm suspicious. I smell a rat and say NO BAILOUT under any circumstances. Rescind the bailout!

  • Andrew Jackson, Thoreau and Emerson would be proud.

  • today the real truth came out about how DC is NOT about representing the public. THEY added PORK to the Bail out bill !! and added sever MORE billion to cover several pet projects !! Rum ? Racetracks ? Movie producers !! HANG THESE thieves .. every one of them for Uber theft of the trust and money of the people they were to protect and represent. Imagine adding PORK to the most sensitive bill subject in history. They took out trust and now looting the American coffers dry.

  • i wonder how much lobbyist have paid American senators?.if they do get payed then how is USA a democracy?

  • this is what we need to hear, don't attack the man examine the idea.

  • The idea is preposterous. How do you know who has made money off this? I mean , sure, you know some of them but certainly not most. So is he suggesting that we allow the government to violate anyone who made alot of money these last few years, and pilfer through their private financial lives? That would be a huge violation of their constitutional rights. The people who bought the houses are just as responsible.

Besides the Bailout will only make things far worse.

  • @lives2live Even a typical businessman, otherwise blameless as he or she did not engage in these gambles, someone running a company, benefit by the lower wages caused by the unemployment caused by the crash. The rich owners and controllers have made out like bandits.

  • Socialism? The Department of Defense is a Socialist State (health care, day care, pensions, school benefit, etc. etc. etc. Sanders is the only one with courage. He is so right: get Wall Street to pay! Dark Day for America. Vote Nader now!

  • Well I know he is a "self-described socialist" and since there is nothing wrong with that, who cares.

It doesn't change the fact he is right one bit.

Plus at least he is honest and his concern is for the public as compared to the corporate right-wing hypocrites who claim to love the free market yet ensure they get socialism for themselves and the rest of us get the so called free market which isn't very free as the costs to us the taxpayer shows.

  • that's okay for me, I'm a socialist myselves, it's just that you rarely see americans cheering up for socialists you gotta admit ;-]

  • + I wonder if most people know that they are cheering to a man that is a self-described socialist ^^.

  • A self-described Democratic Socialist, like most of the rest of the civilized world.

  • well i think actually he's a social democrat, democratic socialists are more like anarchists

  • Democratic Socialists are the Burgeoise class and party that was rehired by the soviet tyrants who decieved the masses by saying something and bringing about "change" similar to that of the previous totalitarian Russian Csar by enslaving and punishing those workers who oppossed the same type of opression. This so-called political leaders or experts are nothing but deceivers when it comes to let them do the thinking and choices for the quiet masses.

  • @SKClouD This shows that socialism is more popular than you think, despite the campaign to make it a curse word. I submit that a very bad thing for American people was the end of the Soviet Union. It used to be that high unemployment was embarassing. Not any more. There's no competing ideology. So the contradictions of capitalism sharpen...

  • In this system you are always ought to be selfish and greedy, so I don't know why a few people get insulted because they also do so.

  • Excellent speech! Sen. Sanders is definitely speaking for me!

  • Ron Paul has it right when he states, "Inflation is a tax."

Bush gave massive tax cuts to the top 5% & ran up a huge debt borrowed from China+ & that resulted in out-of-control inflation.

Today gas, electricity, milk, meat, fresh fruits & vegetables, & bread all cost over 100% more than they did under Clinton.

If you pull out retirement funds they'll buy 1/2 as much.

This new "bail-out bill" will make it where you'll be able to buy 1/4th to 1/6th as much.

    May Bush rot in hell!

  • ..and why shouldnt they? They have all the money. Seeing that the oil companies are running the show and getting all the money anyways, who better than they for this job? Besides, for some reason we can never find the money for universal health care, yet we can easily find the money to give to the suits at wallstreet for a bonus while they jump ship.

  • Bush is probably going to hell.

  • you mean he's going home !!

  • Fuck it hahah he will get whats coming to him

  • US Economy-RIP 1945-2008

  • If the greedy bandits who caused this economic collapse don't change their greedy, selfish ways, they will be forced to pay for it in another way, one way or another, because "karma" will just come spinning round with a spinning round-house back kick and land it right in their faces.

  • The problem is that they waste everybody's time, slowing down the progress, plus the earth's ecosphere may collapse from the industrial pollution driven by greed.

  • well said

  • Sanders is the best Senator in that forsaken city.

  • Spread this video like wild fire!, what truths he speaks.

  • 4:45 Things that make you say hmm.

  • he lives on my street

  • Finally a mature speech addressing the real concerns of the people - it is no surprise that it comes from an independent. What we need, throughout the world, are non-partisan representatives who owe their loyalties to their constituents and who will represent their constituents and no one else.

  • This is class warfare and we ar

  • losing it. Yes we are losing this war. The rich love the poor to give them money and then wonder why the poor have no money to give then say we're all lazy. Fuck them!

  • hmmm, make the people responsible for the econ collapse responsible for the recovery? that sounds too logical, it just might work! Sign me up!

  • it sounds too logical. Seeing that it's America. They will do the opposite.

  • Sanders is the MAN!!!!

  • Who are these " 400 " families who Sen. Sanders talks about. Why are they so undiscovered to the masses? What Race are they? What part of the country do they live? Where do they educate their kids? What kind of healthcare do they have? I think these are all fair questions seeing how Major Networks are always framing political questions around Race and class. Yet, the Super Rich and Powerful who run the Universities, WallStreet, and Banks, get to remain annonymous, leaving us with Pol. Idiots.

  • I think the world would be better off without these 400 familys.

  • race ? This is a very sleepy slope here...

  • Ain't no slippery slope here. This Country was founded and is based on the Classification of Race. Go ask the Palistinians if they think America is Racist. Go ask the Native Americans if they think America is Racist. Go ask all the uneducated F*ck ups in Prison if America is Racist. So now, I ask again, what race are these 400 families who own America? Huh?

  • no NO ((NO))

I'm keeping close watch If you vote for the bailout,, just start looking for a job in the privet sector!

  • Thank you, Bernie... Thank you, Real News.

  • All these trouble happens because the stock markets are allowed to control every aspect of society.

free market ideology => social darwinism => greed => chaos => suffering

  • Thank you Sen. Sanders you are a true American!!!!!!

  • you tell Sen. Sanders

this whole thing sinks with greed

and I sick of this bunch of CROOKS who have ran our country into the ground , the whole bunch should be throw in prison have all there asset's taken and throw way the keys!!!!

  • AMEN!!!!!!Unfortunately, he is in the minority. Please vote them all OUT - every single last one of them!!!!!!!If you have never voted before, do it this year - make it a landslide! Diebold cannot change all the numbers.

  • TRUTH!!! SHARE NOW!!

  • I wonder if anyone has realised that 'bailing-out' is what you do when your boat is SINKING!

Unless you plug the hole(s), it continues to sink!

  • How bout changing to a better boat?

  • ...and get rid of the captain that steered you into the reef

  • Look at the media. No one, NO ONE discusses this amendmentall media is bush-donkey-ears an enormous inflation is ahead. They made USA agony slow and PAINFUL very painful death to all of us!our dreams, our beautiful country is taken by criminals, thieves, by maniacs.. and there is nothing we can do? They have one answer to this. NO. will Congress repeat it for them tomrw?

    PS.

    Soon $1000= $10

  • lol 1,000 yen is 10 dollars XD. I better find a job here in Japan quickly, and just put my money in a bank account here XD. Then after a yr in school here. Work as an intern in SIngapore :D. BTW its true the epicenter of a disaster is usually the worse off, and this will affect the global economy. But it will suck to live in America more than any other developed nation. Because in the US we have no social safety nets!

  • Thank you Se. Dorgan, Se.Sanders,

You are our HEROES! No matter if we in the verge of starvation and abject poverty- I am proud of your courage, your honesty, your strength. We won, they losteternally in hell.

  • 04:15-04:45 LOL!!!

Poulson.. $100 MILLION DOLLARS at Goldman Sachs! LOL!

...and he's the guy they're giving 700BILLION to! LOL!!! You couldn't write this stuff!

354 MILLION DOLLARS for the former ceo of Lehmanns... Richard Fool!!

    and so on...

    Guess what...

    It's "The American Job"!

  • Dodd is a dolt.

  • That is not dodd.

  • At the very end of the vid, that was Dodd. Sanders gave the speech.

  • Brilliant to see this speech publicized in this way. 5 Stars. Politics like this would eventually restore faith in the US government.

  • Makes damn good sense to me. Follow the money and take it back from them. They took it from your hard work in the 1st place.

  • We need this money now, presumably? So we need to borrow it rather than waiting the 5 years for all the taxes to be collected. Who is going to pay the interest on the loan in the interim?

  • ABOLISH THE FEDERAL RESERVE, PEOPLE!

The Mafia controlled Federal Reserve, the banking cartel is the root cause of economic problems.

  • I distinctly remember the Republican's mantra all throughout the 1980's & 1990's ... No Redistribution of Wealth! What happened Republicans?

  • they didn't want poor people to be able to make a living of course. They wanted the rich to have all the monies :P

But seriously they are greedy bastards thus they said that bullshit mantra, and republican voters were too stupid to realize they are voting against their best interest.

  • Good God, Amen brother. Imagine that, the poor voting Republican. Only in America..

  • Let's hope it does not pass the house.

  • word!

  • NOW THIS IS NEWS. Thanx.

  • sen. sanders... will stay after we the people abolish this corrupt goverment. along with ron paul, dennis kusinich and a few others who are honest get to stay in office! the rest go to prison for life!

  • It amazes me that there's no provision in the bill to make transparent the hundreds of trillions of dollars in derivatives that these financial institutions are holding. the 700 billion is a drop in the bucket. what the hell is going on here? it's so ludicrous.

  • Welcome to India & China.

  • Why don't you just let FOX Propaganda run YouTube if you are going to censor anything truthful about this Bill? Every comment I've posted in the past 4 hours has been deleted...hmmmm what do you know.

    Fascism is in session.

  • Thank you Senator Sanders, for your service.

  • who should be paying ? Senator Saunders says the greedy, stupid bastards who caused the crisis. God grant him a long life.

  • That was very good, Bernie. It's about time you separated yourself from the Democrats.

  • Where the hell was this guy a week ago? As a canadian, and what some might naturally call a Pinko, since we tend to lean toward semi-socialism to support the bottom and restrain the top to keep our society relatively cohesive, i've gotta say I love this.

Take back the money that those greedy fucks took away.

  • This man speaks the truth. If you watch this video, you then have the responsibility to send it to anyone you know! He makes a lot of great points the people need to hear and think about critically!

So watch this vid and BLAST your friends, family and virtual acquaintances...

    Peace, Love, and Prosperity!

    Javster420

  • Some of the few great americans "running" the country...

Keep spreading this info...we need to be listened!

    Regards from Chile!

  • Didn't I just post a comment here - are comments about the Treason being committed against the American Tax Payer being Censored - AGAIN?
