Hello, there is possibility of providing more detailed this project to my email, I hope to make a generator to put in my car and pass on to my friends.
hah, cool, I tried the same thing awhile ago with failed results, couldn't find o-rings or 316L Stainless washers :-\ had everything else. So I bought a drycell off hho2u.com for $140. Its not much bigger then that (11, 3.5 by 3.5 inch plates) but mines got a weird - n n n n + n n n n - wired rig, It puts out 2 litre hho per min, at 12volts/15amps..runs cool to the touch with 3oz NOH in 34oz distilled water. still want to build one with washers, thinking of getting some 6" washers :-)
Very nice video's and your ideas are a great inspitation.
I wondered what the output of your double stack washer cell was. I really think this is the way to go. The 10 plate version seems to work very well and at low amps.
Based on your ideas I did a first simple test and it works remakable well. (+nn-) I'm experimenting with cups like you did but I cut out the bottom to get a nice steady water flow in between the cups. The design is basically a hybrid of washers and cups (wet cell).
Thank you, it's been a while since I worked on this design and don't remember it ever working as well as I had hoped it would. I've learned since then that I should have used the following 17 plate configuration:
-nnn+nnn-nnn+nnn-
This works very well, but may need an extra neutral plate/washer in each section to reduce heat and amperage.
Hey man, I really like your design and I started on one today using ten washers and a nalgene bottle. I'm just wondering which of your many configurations (total number of washers & placement of +/-) have you found produces the most HHO & drawing less than 10 amps? What was your +/- configuration in vid #29? Btw I see your production decreased between #29 & #35 after you removed the recirculation hose. Why did you decide to remove it in the first place? Thanks 4 posting all your progress.
In Vid#29 the configuration was +NNNNN-NNNNN+ (13 washers), but I've played around with about 10 different configurations since that design.
The best that I've had so far at less than 10A was the following config: -NN+NN-NN+NN- (13 washers)
I removed the recirculation hose as an experiment, but I have since come up with a water refill solution that involves drilling a 1/4" hole on the side of each washer and then inserting 1/4" drip hose to refill evenly between all plates.
Thanks for your help! Been chipping away at the project (takes forever using hand tools.) I tried -NN+NN-NN+NN- on my own interpretation of your design and I got 0.6 LPM using NaOH 1-1/4 tsp/32 oz. I scored my washers with a file (not sure if you did that) and only the 5 that are wired +/- have 1/4" holes to increase flow (my drill bit died before I could continue). I'm going to try a few other tweaks and then post a video when I get some dry daylight (no ATX 12V rig, limited to car power).
NO NO NO , never use tap water. It has all kinda of crap in it , metals and minerals, it will turn color with time. That also makes controlling your elite impossible, and it could be changing into other stuff.
I know, I was just testing for leaks. I always use distilled water when I run my cells, but I didn't have any available, so that is why I used tap water. I went to the store last night and bought two 2.5 ga. jugs of DW, so now I don't have any excuses.
I've made the mistake of using tap water before and it jacked up my plates and didn't give reliable consistent results. The water here in Anaheim, CA is one step above sewage.
I have heard that just putting current thru tap can make it deposit some stuff on the plates, I hate to sound like I'm just preaching but I will never put tap in my cell , and like when you drill out pvc and use tap water to rinse it , I always rinse again with distilled. And all lines.
After a few times using tap water or baking soda, I promise I will never use them again unless I have no other option, even then I'm sure there is something better.
I'm not too concerned about messing up the plates on this cell. The results aren't going to be accurate anyway, because I didn't have the money to get more stainless washers. I built this one with zinc plated 2" fender washers, just to experiment with different plate configurations before I assemble the all stainless design.
When I land a new job I will have the funds to build it right.
I may be out of a job, but I'm not going to stop experimenting with HHO. I'll just have to get creative and use things I have around the house.
I hate to use zinc plated anything, but it is all I can afford right now. For experimenting with different concepts I figure it is less expensive to use zinc plated washers and then dump the water after the zinc has dissolved. I know I can't expect to get the same results with stainless, but I can work out all of the details of the design first.
I have some Follensbee terne coated SS , it has zinc and tin electro plated on the surface, after abount 1 hour , the cell got full of grey and black powered stuff, I was using new distilled and lye. The stuff that was making the cell short out, after that same hour the cells started to buzz, that aint good.
ya fill your trunk with those and off you go on hho , no gas

I'm glad your design is coming together.
Can't wait to see the videos.

I just posted a video response under the screenname HHOlyH20. My designs have changed about 50 times and I finally have something I like.
Btw, where did you get you analog ammeter? All I can find are digital.

probably dont need the hose barb anymore what with putting the bubbler ontop

good point, why make it more complicated then it needs to be.

Nice seeing that cell grow a little ..I would recommend not doing the tap water either..
But great job man keep it up ...

yeah, I was just testing for leaks. I've flushed it out and now I'll use distilled water for actual test runs.
