I can remember working at the drive-in theater at the time this movie came out. After the show and the cars were gone it was my job to walk the grounds and turn down the car speakers. This song would play and it was so peaceful with the warm gentle breeze's of the night blowing through my longish hair. I was just a kid when this song and movie came out. I remember going to Movie House ( what we called it back then) to see Valley of the Dolls. I'm sure at the time I didn't really understand the movie, but the Theme Song stayed with me. It is truely a classic. Love it!!!!

This is one of my all time favoite songs. I wanted to also mention that Patty Duke should have receuived a Best Actress nomination in 1967 for "The Valley of the Dolls." She was superb in the film & it really showed how much she had matured as an actress-going from her TV show(which ended in 1966) to this film in 1967

I was driving back from Charlotte NC many years ago after my divorce ,this song was playing on the radio and it calmed me down .I ended up with custody of both my kids even if I was a single guy at the time .I'll always remember this song and both my kids ended up college grads and it turned out great ,but at that time I was one lost soul THANKS

Because these legends have built a great legacy over the years, and when they get on these new crappy shows, it diminishes the greatness of what they have always been known for.
