  • They could throw the ball for a homerun.

I'd like to see a catcher with a cannon do that between innings. :o

  • Actually, explosive power+mechanics= velocity

  • long toss frequently + good mechanics to help utilize your body = velocity

  • Spring is in the air and baseball is on YouTube!

  • Those dudes had some arms! I be lucky to through half that distance.

  • Got Damn! They were tossing 340 feet like they were flipping nickles. I'd be lucky to hit 200 feet. Boy my arm is week. Any tips on how to improve it?

  • how is 300feet stretching

  • jaeger has some great stuff on long toss

  • You NEED long toss to gain velocity. But i like what Dick Mills has to say because of his philosophy on mechanics. He says good mechanics is the source of velocity. I believe this to be true because i have applied his advice on mechanics and it has worked for me and others. Mechanics are very important but not the only source of velocity. Thats why i disagree with Dick Mills on long toss.

  • Just tryed this method today and i love it

  • this guy that use to play in my league said he did this program they clocked him at 94MPH. i decided to try this program hopefully i could jump from 45MPH to 65MPH lol

  • how fast do you think i can throw if i can throw 300 feet?

  • horriable for your arm to just throw that far you should only throw 200 feet tops

  • He's talking bs, but there's nothing wrong with a long toss. Almost identical muscle groups are used in almost identical sequence, so yeah I would say that dick mills is wrong.

  • dick mills is totally wrong this i've folled this program and its a great help!

  • long toss is against dick mills teachings. he says that long toss destroys mechanics since its an upward motion.

  • @Gilb604 dick mills is a complete fail dont waist ur time

  • To throw 335 you must throw right 100 mph.

  • im 12 throwing 65-70 mph and i gotta say the long toss program really helps

  • On top of everything long toss is just fun!!!! I mean seeing how far you can throw....aaaahh just amazing!!

  • Thanks Frank.

  • Imnus, long tossing is one of the biggest off-day routines of any pitcher in the majors. shut the fuck up

  • Let me tell you a secret, if you wanna get better at pitching: PITCH!!! for god's sake.

  • It doesn't improve velocity though, at least not noticably.

  • then what does

  • mechanics

  • You must not do it right or just have a weak arm.

  • im 13 and im throwing 70-73 and im gonna start this program this year and im hoping this will help me out.

    great video 5/5 stars

  • If you're a Pitcher you're just wasting your time.

  • how?

  • does 300 feet realy equate to 90 mph? if so, i guess im having trouble with my mechanics, because my long toss is right around 320 feet, maybe a little more. but im only throwing 84-87 mph.

  • From experience I think 90mph. translates to a 330-340ft. long toss with the right trajectory on a day with no wind....the wind factor is important because with a tailwind i have thrown 385ft.

  • Hi, I play cricket and i only have to throw a max of 60-70 meters as we throw into the centre of the pitch. I can throw that easily and can probably throw 80-85 meters. How do you work out the speed from the distance?

  • Comment removed

  • My math says 56.8 mph, without factoring the arc distance. So maybe in 70s?

  • are you accurately converting your units, master?

  • you must throw 89.5 mph at 36 degrees.

  • they would make good pitchers

  • According to an earlier video the guy closest to us was a 6th rounder by the tigers and the farther guy was a 4th rounder by the twins I believe.

  • and i wonder if either one of them are in professional baseball

  • jesus christ they both have cannons.

  • rick ankiel got the biggest cannon i have ever saw

  • @crazydeaf9 do you watch baseball? there are many better outfielders with stronger throwing arms. Rick Ankiel?! Lol
