To know how to make the thumb go in,well push the thumb the direction that goes to the opposite/antonym direction of which arm you use it on(which i know it was your left arm) I just said opposite/antonym direction because as in if you made a mechanical hand that was for the right arm.

Pssh, a good project i admit but nothing compared to most mechanical hands, I challange you to build a hand with joints in the fingers. Might i recomend useing erector sets, thats what i nuilt mine out of and it works great.

No problem man, I understand where you are coming from. K'nex is limited as far as what you can do, and this is the most advanced mechanical hand made out of k'nex that I know of.

Yea I tried building a mechanical hand out of an erector set and it sucks trying to keep the fingers straight. You should try erector sets there great for building sturdy items.
