i find it hard to belive that anyone can accually listen to the government when it is so corrupt i have been thinking about this latley the government is so corrupt and most canadians are blind to it its just sad
i haven't listened to this song in like 4 weeks so i felt like sayin that this is the best possible song by the best possible band in all of the world and ya it sounds like i love this band to much but no they just deserve a lot of respect that they don't have which they should
aah... the after-effects that must shadow over him, he has lost his youth; but... atleast he was able to get an education in universtiy... Nice video :)
Its kind of weird that people didn't know about Milgaard. But that's why the Hip are an important part of Canada. They sing about our heritage. They are probably the most famous band that are proudly Canadian and sing about Canada. When I listen to them I feel very patriotic. If your teacher hadn't given you an A+ they must have been smokin crack.
oh Dave Coulter, i will miss You so babe..(my boyfriend) he died just a few weeks before Xmas...this was his favourite song....rest in peace , i will see You again my friend
@raptorsfan92 my dad grew up in seaforth virtually right beside where the Truscott case happened and Ive seen plays on it, its horrible that he got convicted
steven truscott anyone? he was almost hung for something he didnt do and has since been acquitted. that was one of the main false convictions along with milgaard in canadian history
he may be a milionaire, but he'll never get back all those years, and alot of the money has to be used to pay off all the stuff his mom did for him legally.
Besides the fact that this song alone is amazing, whoever made this video is a genius on his/her own. It is such a revelation. We cannot blame our own justice system without realizing we SUCK!!!!! There is always someone to blame, whether DNA proves it or not. This particular story is as sad as it comes, but everyone of us are the first throw the stone aren't........aren't we? Who's innocent..........who's guilty? It's not our choice............but the main thin is CHOICE!!!!!!
As odd a choice as it was, this was the first dance for the husband and I at our wedding last summer. We were having a hard time picking a tune that made us both feel good, and since this has long been one of our faves, we thought, how appropriate. Both lyrically beautiful and musically well, fantastic, this song will always bring back the August drinkfest we hosted in Alberta.
Well done with this video, and well done to the Hip for always producing classically Canadian music.
The justice system back then wasent the greatest as you can see, an innocent man spent alot of his time in jail for nothing so i guess you have to be thankful that its changed dramatically over the decades great video btw just goes to show how beautiful canada is and why you should travel here lol ontario is a great place.
Yea gotta love the hip there up there with my fav canadian bands up there with young and its great that he talks about my country as well cause canada is beautiful.
Yea this song is beautiful and it's great that hes talking about my country The Hip is the best canadian artist well hes up there with neil young they both rock.
This song and it's message reminds me of why I became a criminal defence lawyer. It's a dirty job and, despite popular views, not one that pays well. The most delicate of our democratic values is the presumption of innocence and it must be vigourously defended no matter how serious or heinous the crime or how deplorable the individual.
Good for you Jason--what you do must take a lot of courage. Albert Schweitzer once said; "Truth has no special time of its own. Its hour is now -- always". We should all seek the truth in our own lives--we would treat others with more respect.
there is also a lot of skepticism that this song was writing for Steven Truscott, another Canadian citizen that was wrongfully charged (at the age of 14) with the death of 12 year old lynne harper, and was sentenced to death
hahaha you mean girl??
