You guys need to put an 02-04 4R70w in the bird.. $200 in parts will make that tranny 550rwhp capable.. I have one that will go into this SC but we are just waiting to finish up my other project before we focus our attention back onto the SC.. Once it does tho low 11's should not be out of the question at all..
Not as much as you would think.. No more than it would take say a DSM to run 11's.. The car has already gone 12.30 in one of my other videos with a bad transmission.. Once it gets fixed 11.50's is the next goal :o) Its all about the tune baby!!
they arent great but i wouldnt say they are bad. my first bird went to 160k miles with stock transmission its still going from what i hear. and my current bird has 110k and its still running great. my moms 02 acuras trans went out at 96k miles and she babys it. idk if i got lucky or what but thats my experience with it. good luck with your tbird
I put the 75mm TB from SCP on mine and nothing happened to the trans. It did make the car throw a code but i thinks because its too lean. Once i get a tune if i dont sell it for an SC it should do fine
I've heard alot about the jmod. About how it makes the trans shift harder and faster but someone told me that i can actually damage the trans because of how fast and hard it shifts. Is this true or am i being fed bullshit? lol
lol i mean i guess anything is possible but if you follow the step by step instructions then you will be fine. you want it to shift hard so less heat is wearing on the it. heat is the number one thing that will kill your trans

4" Intake, SC Top, Custom FMIC, UD Pulleys, 15% OD, 85mm Throttle body, 90mm Lightning MAF, ported stock blower, kooks shorty headers, 3.73's and drag radials.. Thats about it..

i have a 97 with a 4.6L ever sence i put on my 75mm throttlebody its been shifting wrong did it happen to you?

Not really.. We played with the tranny settings in the EEC Tuner and got the car to shift perfect everytime. Too bad the tranny is shot. LoL

Well i got 177k on mine and its 1st to 2nd clutchs are slipping. And im a dog on the car so i figure thats pretty good for it.
