Unfortunately, I don't think humility is valued enough here in the U.S. I think back to how many people thought David was faking his humility on Idol. I imagine many still feel that way. Too bad for them and our society that people have to be so cynical. This guy is as real as they come. And I just love him to pieces.

I hadn't thought about DA's special attributes, like his humility, resonating so strongly with Filipinos and other cultures. In the US, humility seems valued but not necessarily apparent in many of our popular performers. DA's character is unique and this interviewer brought that out so very well. Great interview.
