    Mishra Gara uses the minor 3rd and Khamaj used the major scale.

  • It's a somewhat earlier version of a grouping of themes Ravi & Anoushka recorded as "Raga Mishra Gara" at Carnegie Hall October 6, 2000 and released on the CD "Full Circle." (I'm assuming this one was in 1997?) That composition is credited to Ravi Shankar, but of course - there's a few thousands years of copped licks in there.
