Rodney Marsh went to my old primary School in Norf London. But then again so did Ron 'chopper' Harris! Rodney was a great player, but played when kickers were tolerated and skilled ball players could be kicked out of a game. Don Revie and the FA have a lot to answer for.
Stan Bowles, Duncan Mackensie, Frank Worthington, Alan Hudson, Tony Currie - all were great players and would be have been fantastic in the modern premiership but never really got a fair crack of the whip in their time.
He wasn't in any other business......and be careful with using such offensive words as retard........please re-phrase "complete waste of talent in your opinion".......and whilst you are entitled to your opinion it is not shared by us !
@Lindum1974 with a name ending in 1974 what do you know about rodney marsh he was one of the most talented players that graced our game i would and did pay money to watch him play so were did your comments about him being a retard come from ?
I remember Marsh against Birmingham City when playing for City and he tried an extravagant chip over the keeper instead of taking an easy chance. I don't think he was ever really a team player and probably the reason he didn't for England as many times as he should.
what a team City had back then...Marshy, Frannie Lee, Summerbee, Bell, Law...and the Tueart, Hartford, Royle...not to mention Corrigan, big Dave Watson, Tommy Booth, Doyley, Oaksey...the list goes on.........Maine Road was a fun place to be back then........pure entertainment
Bluesishere - you are being offensive to the Man City manager and the team.....please kindly retract your comments and aplogize or I will have to challenge you to a duel you damn balggard
the Kippax adored Rodney.....he was treated terribly at the end by Book, Macfarlane and Swales........they were idiots and ultimately they went on a ruined the club.....SMILE !!!
Great comment, Rodney Marsh had it all, skill, personality, I think Book did a power thing, he felt his authority was undermined and got rid of City greatest player, a genius and a true blue hero. I absolutely love Rodney he is without doubt my favourite player of all time.
One of Rodney's attempts to be clever cost City the League Cup against Wolves in 1974, when he tried a backheel in his own penalty area!!

Marsh and Bowles. Both played for Man City. Both had their best times at QPR.

Rodney Marsh = Complete Waste of Talent.
In any other business, he would have been sacked and walking the streets. i.e. he was a retard... and still is.

On what grounds do you base these slanderous comments?
