  • nice ...i got one off of e- bay today...

  • how much does this radio cost?

  • Yuck, AM and FM only................

  • I'd say it needs commercial broadcast FM radio + 27 to 29.700 mhz band coverage, SSB and a DIN system to place it in a car radio slot.

With those features I'd buy it !

  • i wouldnt mind having one if it has channel conversion on it overall nice radio

  • good vid thanx

  • Nice Radio! ;-)

  • Spent WAY TOO MUCH time on the video display what about power mods, I don't wanna look at pics of my dog or whatever! How does it perform???

  • I love RANGER radios and own a 2995 and a 2950DX....I wonder if you can play the .mp3 files through the radio and out onto the airwaves...i doubt it but it would be like a built in noise toy...not that i condone those heh. Its a nice looking rig but not for me. Very uique radio...whoever engineered this thing looks like they had a car stereo background and obviously the companies are looking for an edge in a market where all the radio have most same features. Very cool rig.

  • oh darn i didnt notice no ssb!

  • amen all it needs is ssb

  • Nice radio, but it would be better with Sideband .

  • i was saying, when the radio is squelched in the cb mode, why can't you listen to mp3 until its un squelches?

just a way to utilize both features at once

  • Okay - excellent point. The Mp3 does diable the CB mode and I believe that has to do with the way the Mp3 software system works, but I'm sure that's something the manufacturer could research because I agree that could be a neat additional feature.

  • Currently only the AM version is on the market - a SSB version with an active frequency counter showing TX and RX on the display would definitely be cool though.

  • this transceiver is also on sale in the uk as a ten metre radio under the superstar name badge here its called the superstar force one it features fm as well as am and five bands alas there is still no ssb which defeats the object of the exercise really because it dont even cover the fm portion of ten metres btw is fm illegal for cb in the USA????

  • is it possible to listen to the mp3 while you are driving then someone keys up their radio and it switches to AM until they unkey and goes back to mp3?

they should utilize the hd am/fm stereo bands in a radio. would make alot of sense if they were going to persue more of these types of radios

  • nice how much does one cost?

  • So if i plug in my mp3 player and key up will it play through the transmit

  • The Mp3 mode disables the CB mode.

  • Good because music over the cb radio is bad enough already i know some kids who would have a field day if it did.
