@KaraJayneee No! I don't! One of the things that being a parent has taught me is that you have to make the best of the situations that arise, as things don't always go to plan. I didn't plan to have placenta praevia or an emergency caesarean with my second child, but I went with it because it meant we'd both live to see another day. Attempting to go through 'all the pain' would have been the death of us both, probably. I'm lucky to have medical care, and I remember the fact every day x

fyi all watching-cesarean not necessary with twins...even breach.midwife tricks.lord...what a big business.no matter what pregnant women are going to birth.it is not an emergency requiring a 'professional' who somehow thinks they can control the most natural thing women were built for.so sad.

I don't see the wisdom in categorising 'good' births and 'bad' births, that should very much be the viewpoint of the mother, down to her experiences and treatment. Caesareans can be positive; after all, in some cases it's the difference between life and death.

Why didn't the doctor give them information on spinning the babies? There are SO many things they can do to flip a breech baby! If they were going to do a c-setion anyway, why not follow the ACOG suggestion and do it after 38 weeks?

I agree though, and have an IMMENSE amount of respect for my wife, she gave natural vaginal birth (No pain-killers) and I went in to deliver them, with the doctor's assistance of course. I guess it was selfish of me to want to be the one to touch my--excuse me, OUR--babies first. What I saw...Woo! It was enough to make /me/ cringe, and I've seen plenty of blood in my life.

The recovery for a c-section is a lot more painful and takes a lot longer then the recovery for a natural birth. if a woman has a vaginal birth without the epideral then the birth hurts worse then the birth of a c-section. If that makes sense lol.

It seems that most women do well with c-sections...I had one with my youngest daughter because she was breech, and I felt everything, almost as if they didn't even give me the epidural. They finally put me to sleep after getting her out so I wouldn't have to feel them stitch me closed (like, gee, thanks!) but my daughter was grey and not breathing after they took her out and I didn't get to see her until 5 hours after she was born! These are beautiful babies and I am glad they and Mom did OK!
