It seems to me that straight on head is into another brick wall. The real truth is not in the eyes of the soldiers its in their family if you look their to long you will understand something to dangerous for a soldier to know
Took me longer to get to war than immediately, as happened to most during the Viet Nam War. My war was shorter, less intense, but overall it took me a year after I got out before I could even deal with being a civilian. It took me literally 16 years before I could stop getting incredibly emotional when thinking of my guys, my Marines.
However it goes for us or where we get sent once we're in, we're not the same when we get out. Not that this is always negative but when it is, it's powerful
Its time that we all remember what was and what is today that war does to our men and women. No one is left untouched no matter he deeply you put your head into the sand. Send this to everyone you know who should remember from where we've come.
Truth comes from the experienced. From where we've come from, we shall return, to some places we should, NOT.
