i am curious why you did your drums like that. there was no need to have so many drum racks. they are so flexible and have a mixer and sends of their own. i can see why you may want one for the kick, or kick snare, and then one for the hats, but why all individual. just curious is all. i realise it can be done in may ways.... none are wrong.. there is no right way. you get an authentic sound...
I really enjoyed this tutorial. It was easy, clear, step by step. For a person like me who only just got Ableton, I feel like after watching this I could go and make my own beat similar to the one you just showed us! Subscribed! :)
Have you done any complextro? I've not seen any from you but I may well have missed it. If not would you give it a shot? It's been my goal since I started on electronic music to complete a banging glitched up tune =)
Just came across this. From a person whos into Deep House, i gotta say, this is good stuff, really cool to see people like you sharing the love and passion for music and helping others (including me). Im trying to get into Ableton myself and ditch FL Studio now. I produce Deep House too however, im not feeling Abletons bass instruments. May i ask which bass you used in this (if it was an ableton bass instrument? Or is it a sample bass?
@MrKavalicious Thank you sir. I think you are using the "operator" - built in instrument for Ableton. The chords and the bass were created with Sylenth1, and VST instrument.
Actually this is a very good tutorial, not poor at all. What I would also show is how the main chord was sampled and what reverb was added etc. Keep it up, will really look forward to the pad pard!!
@INHeadKay First of all, thanks for you feedback. I had some PC issues for the last 2 weeks, but I will finish the tutorials soon. The reason why I did not show how to design the sound in Sylenth is because I wanted the videos to be very short.
Thats why I included the VST presets on my blog.
However, thanks for you tip, I will upload some "how to create in sylenth tutorials soon"
.
Curently, I'm working on a trance track so I might upload the project file and other tutorials soon. Stay tuned.
@DailyAbletonTutorial I got Syelnth1 and replicated your sound, your presets are awesome, did you do them yourself? I love that deep stabby sound on the chord really warm, that bass complemented it really well. Not a fan of the percussion, but that's the easy bit. I played around with the percussion using your chords and bass, it sounded really well. It would be nice if you continued this with a warm pad, would love to see the end product of this...
Really brilliant. Unfortunate about the samples though, not working.
