I hate to say it but the United States has a quarter of all mineable coal in the world. So technically even if we stopped using coal here completely we would probably profit just as much from exporting coal is if we were using it. And China is building more coal plants. So we could probably be the next coal cartel. More mining jobs might be created from exporting coal. And our own society will be cleaner.
