to 3:50 - you can get that 25 port D-Sub plug for as low as 2 € and 6.3 mm mono or stereo (find out first!) jack cables (5-10 m cable as needed with plug/plug and then just cut the cable half; or seperate plugs and cable) for 0.15 € each (plugs) + about 5 € for 20 m cable that makes under 8.20 euros. You first will have to test the connections of the originial cable (which jack belongs to which pin of the d-sub plug) and then solder the pieces together.

does the DM6 work with the original Ion Kit? I want to get it from your site to use with my Kit, but my Kit isnt a DM6... would it still work? I know I would have to get the Alesis Kick but the rest of the kit would work right?

Hello! Did your Dm6 come with screws to secure the harness? It looks like there are supposed to be 2 screws that hold it on but mine didn't come with any. It stays on just fine though. I was just wondering. Thanks.

Is their anyway to add pads? I am looking to buy the dm6 kit, but I also have like 3 old ion pads laying around. Would I be able to plug in 3 more pads for 3 more sounds even though it uses this wiring system?

Hey i got an Alesis Dm6 ENTIRE kit how can i get it to work with rock band? I have no Ion Drum rocker, just the Dm6 kit.

Yesterday i bought an "alesis Dm6" in your website( The thing is that i think that this product included the whole drum kit, with cymbals, snare, kick bass, etc. But Today I realized that this product is only the drum module or the drum brain of the kit and this dont bring the whole drum set. i would like to cancel the purchase I made yesterday because I did not know that this was not the product I wanted.

@dm6testa777 hee a few days a go i get this from a friend try this but first you have to install audacity (free) and the follow these steps be sure that the DM6 is installed on your computer

1. Open a new file

2. Go to Project and then select IMPORT MIDI

3. Click on "Computer"

4. Now search for the DM6 drumset. It should be under "Devices with removable Storage"

5. Click on that and open it.

6. Test that out. It should work for you now :D I hope this helped

I have the ion ied 01 drum set. I think they are called sound session drums. On the drums the connecters for the pads are smaller like the ones you would use to connect head phones to your i pod. If i bought an alises dm6 drum moduel from you, could i connect it up to my ion ide 01? Thank you, Robert.

I have a question. If I bought the Alesis DM6 from Best Buy, would I be able to use this kit for Rock Band also? That's the only thing really holding me back. I know that I could always use the standard kit but I'm not really fond of the idea of paying 500 bucks for the Alesis DM6 and not being able to use it with Rock Band if I choose to do so.

@JarrettM1 there is a way to do it, u'll need the ghwt drum brain, the right cables and a program like midipipe( for mac only) it'll cost like $30 on ebay. if u want more info pm me.

I bought that Alesis DM6 Kit and it's cool,I'm using headphones for now till I buy a amp for it.I'm using my double bass pedal rather then the single pedal that came with it so i can double bass.

I have purchased the Alesis DM6 and have the common problems that come with the module software (Snare too quite, high-hat and snare won't trigger simultaneously), and so I went to do the update, but I have a problem. I've tried it from two different computers and it always tells me it updated successfully but it only worked once for about a day. I can not get it to work. I've searched extensively but have not come across a solution or anyone having a similar problem. Any help would be great.

The core is exactly the same as the premium but without cymbals, of course it would work. But i don't think he has an ion kit, i think he has a ion iED01, in which case i pretty sure it would work.
