Why would drugg addicts etc have these testimonys of God intervening and changing lives. The radical change it brings to those people is so obvious. They are totaly humble because the realisation of God's greatness humbles u. It is something that when u experience this cant be described in words, It totaly sets u free from this world and its strugles. iT IS VERY LIBERATING. Wish all can find it.
As a fan of Baseball & sports in general, Josh Hamilton is an ideal ball player. As a Youth Pastor & Christian, Josh Hamilton is an ideal witness.
God doesn't beat a person down, He doesn't get amusement from watching people fail, & He doesn't leave people out to dry. God is merciful, gracious, & the giver of life. As human beings, we screw up. We get on a path of everything is going our way & the idea that we did it all on our own begins to dwell inside of us. When we start thinking that it's
good for him for cleaning up and ALCS MVP, but I don't know why all these people thank religion, josh chose his own path, every man is responsible for his own destiny. josh hamilton saved josh hamilton
@jimmym35x I am in no way trying to pick a fight, just some food for thought. "There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end, leads to death." These words from the Bible fit perfectly with what you've said. Every man choose as path, and if he chooses the one that seems right to Him outside of God, it only leads to death. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me." Josh chose the One True Way and Jesus gave Him the strength. Peace.
This video is awesome.....but not nearly as awesome as the pics of a shirtless Josh, doing body shots off some random woman's cleavage in a bar in Tempe,AZ in 2007.
Did I claim that people don't make mistakes? What I pointed out was that he credited "jesus" for his entire recovery, then he should fault "jesus" for his relapse. It's typical christian behavior to credit jesus for their rights but never blame him for their wrongs. If that isn't done that Hamilton is a hypocrite and so are you.
You should really pay attention to what I'm writing. To credit Jesus for his recovery implies that his faith was the overwhelming factory in his turn around. So his regression means either Jesus if fucking with him and testing him again, or Jesus doesn't give a shit and let him be on his own. Jesus helped him through his struggles and then let him down. Jesus doesn't exist. Hamilton is to credit for his recovery and to blame for his relapse.
Most historians agree that someone named Jesus existed. In fact many people named Jesus existed being that it was an extremely popular name for that time period. There is no proof of his divinity, none whatsoever. I know people that have overcome alcohol addiction withouth the use of religious propaganda. If you can't understand the irony of Josh Hamiltons false message then you are to dumb for me to talk to and I have to end this conversation.
Most historians agree that the Bible is a historical document with fact about Jesus. Not only that Archeologist have been making discoveries that prove the Bible's content. Now for Josh he freely walked away from Jesus. That is the beauty of God, He gave us free will. During the time that Josh walked awy Josh's life was not the best. Then Josh used his free will and asked Jesus back into his life. With Jesus's help Josh is where he is today.
@saltypork3 I've heard of people overcoming alcohol without Jesus (noone personally), but not ever of anyone getting rid of the desire to drink. On the other hand I've known a few people personally that say that the desire to drink, smoke, do drugs, etc. was totally taken away by Jesus Christ.
@ChristInJeff To further expand upon what I said before I'll ask this. I have been told that from several Christians that god gave us free will. If that is so why would your god take that free will away from us? I mean jesus decided that going through a trial of ones will wasn't worth it, so took away their desires completely? Come on it's nonsensical gibberish.
As far as proof of His diety, there is much proof. Some may say the empty grave, the Shroud of Turin, or the many miracles that happen today. Or perhaps they may mention the vast number of lives changed, people fed, and hearts healed. But I believe one of the greatest evidences of Him being Lord is the fact that He exists in my heart.
@ChristInJeff I think you need a definition of the word PROOF. The empty grave cannot be proven, the shroud of Turin, using carbon dating has been proven as a fake. As far as lives changing, people being fed, and hearts healed, you can't PROVE that this is the work of a god. Unless you see cheeseburgers falling from the sky, it's simply your OPINION. What you stated was your belief that god is real. I asked for quantifable proof and you haven't given any.
@saltypork3 Why is it you doubters always have to see to believe in something? Just because you can't see God so you assume he don't exist. I hate when you guys try to pull the card of, "Well, if God exists then why are there muderers, rapists, drugies etc."
@SH4DOWMOS3S I don't have to see air to know it exists. I know that exists do to scientific proof that it is abundant on the planet. The idea of Jesus Christ was taken from other stories that had been written. Look up if you will the story of Horus the god. It was written 1200 years before the story of christ, yet the bible essentially steals this idealology. If god did exist he wouldn't mind murderers and rapists. Read your old testament and you would see that he condones those actions.
@saltypork3 I agree with you all the way. "What I pointed out was that he credited "jesus" for his entire recovery, then he should fault "jesus" for his relapse. It's typical christian behavior to credit jesus for their rights but never blame him for their wrongs": couldn't be more true.
@saltypork3 There are murderers and rapists in this world today because God gives you the choice to be a Christian and beleive he sent his only begotten son to die for all of our sins... or be a rapist, murderer etc. I hope you discover the truth about the Christian religion and take God into your heart. I hope to see you in Heaven my brother
@xTheSilentBeast I'm sure your god loves murderers. I mean he is the most famous one, so why not allow them to exist. I hope one day that you truly start seeing with your eyes. Right now you live a life that is being filled with an empty religion. I know it's hard to realize that your way of living is a lie, but it is. It's more and more evident every day. Hopefully you can break the chains of religion that hold you down. Only then can you be truly free.
I met him at spring training and he is just a simple amazing man. His love for Christ pulled him through thge abuse and look what God helped him accomplish! Josh is really an amazing character and sick to watch him hit bp.Also a great man to just sit and talk to. "I am second" indeed the greatest story from a human...
Josh is one of the nicest and most Godly person I have ever met. When he was at rehab this May he came to Round Rock (AAA of the Astros) for his rehab. Right there in the outfield stands I talked and prayed with him. God Bless you Josh and thank you for everything
...wait no i dont, i see what God has made, obviously man has constructed things but without God placing anything here on ths earth that wouldnt be possible
@kristennic27 And Praise Him even further that He didn't bring all of those other unworthy drug-addled addicts back, that He, in His infinite infinitude (a veritable redundance of superfluousity) decided (or maybe He knew all along, and didn't really have to decide) weren't worthy enough. Or maybe they just couldn't hit a baseball far enough for His taste.
@rtydhg9q "If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God will it? May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar." I've debated atheists/agnostics/scoffers/skeptics for a long time, and may I just encourage you that you couldn't run this universe better than God. Ask yourself this, why are you on here picking on someone you don't even know's faith? What thrill does it bring you? What is motivating you to do it?

Actually, Jesus does exist. No historian argues that...think about what you write, or better yet, know what you are talking about at least slightly.
No human is strong enough to overcome an addiction on their own. Especially one with the kind of draw drugs and alcohol has.
And no, Josh made a mistake. Wait, whats that? Oh. He's human! haha why didnt i think of that before?
