I agree about Halak. The guy's got NHL playoff experience for god's sake, he's a perfect backup goalie AND would be better than some No.1 goalies playing right now.
mike komisarek brings a physical presence every night and is one of the best shot blockers in the league he his part of the most underated defensive tandem inm the nhl(with markov) but6 i think thatl change this season
Montreal has been very impressive so far. Bob Gainey is one of the best GM's, if not the best, and Guy Carbonneau is the perfect guy to coach the habs. If Carey Price can continue to improve, there is no reason to believe that this team can't do it all.

My question is how do you think the Habs will look next year? With so many RFA's and UFA's (Koivu, Kovalev, Lang, Tanguay, Higgins, Plekanec, Begin, Chipchura, Kostopulos, Latendress, Bouillon, Dandenault, Brisbois and Komisarek).
Gainy has some tough decisions to make. Who do you think will be gone after this summer? Will the Habs still be a contender? Will it be time to depart with captain Koivu?
Gainey is a smart GM, he'll work it out. I think Koivu's gone for sure, and amongst the rest the only one we REALLY have to worry about is Tanguay. Pleks and Komi will get their just pays, and they're leaders here so they'll re-sign, Kovalev will take a market discount, and we have enough depth to replace the rest with guys from the farm team IMO.
