TRX is the original Suspension Trainer...and still the best. Incredible versatility, effective and portable. TRX has replaced my gym membership and I take it on the road with me. Do a whole body suspension training workout 3 times per week and you'll feel a strength (especially core) like never before.
@bighappyvb Wolverson Fitness do one called the DBT at a fraction of the price, as do Lifeline, which (@bighappyvb) is actually the original suspension trainer! Yeah, TRX is a catchy name, but it's not the best... :)
Call something really simple a catchy name and pretend it is revolutionary and you can sell it for massively over inflated prices. You can make suspension training devices for a fraction of the price that TRX charge. They are just adjustable straps with foot loops and handles. Don't believe the hype
@Progressive1Fitness I don't think primalenergy is being bitter, he is just saying what a lot of genuine fitness enthusiasts think. TRX comes with a lot of hype and there are other suspension systems out there that are just as effective and versatile, if not more, than the TRX. @primalenergy Yeah they're pricey, but u can always get the FreeStyle Trainer from ringtraining's site for $50. My gym happens to have 4 TRX's set up, and I prefer them because the extra 10 feet of straps aren't in the way like they would be with the FST.
And don't knock Suspension Training until u try it. It sounds like u'v never done suspension training by your tone. Borrow ur friend's TRX or FST, try a few movements and believe me u'll respect it after that.
I agree you could make something cheaper by yourself. I think we pay for the education and innovation that the trainers like Fraiser Q provide us. This guy is my idol
