  • Hahah.5:11. "Get in there and like [insert cat noise here.]

  • I always felt i had small eyes... T_T

  • This is the BEST eye liner video clip, thanks so much for posting:)

  • @Jojo13Lorin you take a qutip and rub it along the tight like/ waterline. That should remove it, that's what I do

  • i tightline, but it always wears off or smudges...what do you suggest i do to help? Use waterproof?

  • How do u get it off????

  • i love you hair lol

  • Great vid!!!! At least you had a disclaimer about sensitive eyes. I went to a makeup counter to have my makeup done and the girl doing my makeup lined my waterline. I felt like something was in my eye all day and by later on that evening my eye started bothering me and getting red. It has still been bothering me. I've been using eye drops and haven't worn any makeup since. if it doesn't get better soon I'm calling my doctor and MAC!

  • I love ur eyes!(:

  • you are absolutely precious, however, you are also hyper-chatty, took u over 5 minutes to get to the eyeliner! don't think i can sit thru this much chatter again.

  • you talk wayyyy to much!!!!!!

  • Will a brown eyeliner look natural on browns eyes?

  • which product did you use to tightline your upper line?

  • Love your videos! This was especially helpful since I'm so new to make up that I had a lot of concerning questions about the waterline and tightline. Thanks so much! <3

  • I love your vids. I don't get the whole tightlining thing though. Now, I can't stand when women have their top liner like way above the lash line, but I usually apply my liner right on the lash line. Tightlining doesn't seem to make any difference. Putting eyeliner on the inside of my lid seems as crazy as putting lipstick on the inside of my lips. LOL

  • you're my new favorite makeup guru ! :)

  • how can i make that my tightline doesn't transfer to my waterline?

  • @makeupfanpire She mentioned it in the video...

  • thank you so much!

  • I just bought a cake eyeliner to try the smudgey thing into the lashes! I like eyeliner for everyday at work but I don't want any kind of dramatic look this video was very helpful thanks! I love your name my mom's name is Cora Lee!

  • I just bought a cake eyeliner to try the smudgey thing into the lashes! I like eyeliner for everyday at work but I don't want any kind of dramatic look this video was very helpful thanks!

  • OMG! yu are awesome so flippin helpfull!! ILY!! :)

  • Thank you :)

  • how do you do hail becouse it look so pretty

  • I love you. haha. I've been surfin the youtube for good tutorials. TY TY!

  • Your. Eyes. Are. GORGEOUS. Just sayin' :) Nice video

  • @livebreathemakeup

Nevermind! I just saw this video was posted like 4 months ago! Please disregard what I said!

  • I like your makeup in this tutorial can you do the tutorial please I love your makeup.

  • I would always do the q-tip trick all the time, I love tightlining and waterlining with black eyeliner...along with a neutral matte eyeshadow!

  • what color is your lipstick? very pretty pink for fair skin!

  • this is random..but what brand of hair dye do u use cuz i have a bob cut with black hair n i want to get grape purpl, a pretty blue n alpine green in my hair please reply=]

  • whwre can i get water proof eyeliners? i stopped lining my eyes because the black runs from my naturally watery eyes and then it looks like i have dark circles :(

  • HOLY crap! Putting liner over the tear duct was probably what was giving me so many styes. :| I didn't make the connection to the tear duct, but I stopped using liners on my water line just because I got so sick of having to deal with possibly spreading infection to the other eye. Tightlining on top was never a problem, just the bottom. Thank so much for the epiphany!

  • You're super awesome. Have an awesome day!

  • i remeber when i first tried to line my waterline and tightline, lol it tickled. >3<

  • if you forget to put it on before eyeshadow (when tight lining) use a quetip (sorry if I spelled that wrong) just put the qtip where your finger usually would go and it works just the same.

  • @seaterbeat123 I'm assuming it is since it's hella expensive. >:o

I haven't tried it, soo I wouldn't know if it's good or not.

    :)

  • I always tight line my eyes on my upper lid since I have an OCD where I pull out my eyelashes. ( I have almost no lashes on my upper lid.) I use a creme liner. If I don't tight line that area it makes my eyeliner look odd. I always love doing odd makeup looks even if I don't have lashes. <3

  • Very Helpful ill use this technique for Christmas now that Christmas is coming

  • Hi, I was wondering how do you take off the make up of all what's waterlined and tighlined. :P

  • do you have suggestions for make up removal products?

  • ''You don't wanna get RAWR! on your eye!''

    XD

  • I love your hair color. It looks amazing on you. (:

  • Great video thanks for your tips.

  • i really like your hair color

  • I feel naked without black on my waterline!!!!

  • would u be able to give tips to tan skin from now on. in ur videos tnks again for the videos

  • hey i love your video , but i have a question about water lining im a tanned skin and im not sure if blue will suit me if i put it onthe bottom. what other colors can i use to make my eyes pop cuz i have medium to big eyes depending onthe sleep i get.. and plus you were right about lining the inner corner of ur eye. i tended to do taht n i have a somesort of a rash on my upper lid. and didnt know why i got it until u mentioned it.. its a geat info thank you.. and as a request

  • when i put white or light eyeliner on my waterline it always goes on my lashes and wont come off! do you have any tips for that because its really annoying. much appreciated if you do x

  • use organic eyeliners 4 this.

  • the problem i have with khols is that they smudge bcz i have greasy lids...i use a primer, and whenever i put anything in my waterline it smudges down beneath my eyes

  • i dont have any problems with tighlining or waterlining whatever u want to call it..but what i do have a problem with is after a few hrs in the outer corners of my eyes all the eyeliner kinda like i dont know like runs to the end i dont know what u really would call it or even how to describe it really ive tried the powder over top of the eyeliner and everything but it still does it..do u have any tips on how i can prevent it from happening? because 1 its annoying to fix and 2 its not cute

  • Not tightline specific, but do you / does anyone know of a source for RED eyeliner? I've been searching for aaaaages!

    Thanks!

  • @subgirl

I use red lipliner, it works for me :)

  • @xXxAcidxTearsxXx there are emollients and all sorts of things in lipliner that are bad to put near your eyes (esp. tightlining) plus it's all smushy/smeary so I've been looking for eye-specific red liner. Thanks for the suggestion though!

  • Bare Essentials actually makes a specific eye liner for the water line to help prevent smudging and running, and its natural so its safe for sensitive eyes. Its a crayon type liner. There is another brand that makes a water line liner as well, but its a gel liner. I have Bare Essential, its called buxom insider eyeliner. i love it!

  • I had no problem learning to tighline a couple of years ago. But I never tried the shadow right there on the lashline. I also wear contacts & I thought maybe it'd bother but I'm gonna give it a go & see how it works. Thanks for the tips & can't wait to see more. As always, your tuts are great. You actually show interest in helping us out & its much appreciated.

  • @tknicol you're welcome :)

  • I've seen people do it where they close their eyes and do both at the same time. I've never tried that either. All good tips. I wear contacts and I do like to use gel liner on the waterline because it stays and doesn't budge.

  • the problem i always have with tightlinging and waterlinging is always smears/ smudges waaaaay underneath my eyes. extremely. i was wondering if you had any tips for that?

  • @FATIgnauden waterproof/smudge resistant eyeliners and also the setting it with eyeshadow, or applying powder right up next to the lashline is about all you can to. Not all waterproof/smudge resistant liners are the same, so try a few different ones.

  • @vintageortacky okay! thankyou very much for the tips!

  • @FATIgnauden The Natural Collection do a really good range of waterproof eyeliners, they last all day for me. I used to use Rimmel London's Black Kohl eyeliner and it made me look like a panda after an hour.

  • @FATIgnauden I always have that problem!

  • SUPER helpful video and really concise. Just what I was looking for!

  • @gypsy40120 you're welcome

  • I have to disagree with you. Lining both your upper and lower lashline makes your eyes look bigger, not smaller. I know this first hand :). I believe lining only one is what makes your eyes look smaller.

  • @OneLonelySpider black is a recessive color, so it will make things look smaller :)

  • What is a good Waterproof Cream eye liner to use?

  • @Mawiely i looked it up hahah :D

  • I liked that last thing you did with the flat brush. I'm going to try that but I don't have a brush like that. Can you recommend one?

  • @PinkMartiniAZ the MAC 212

  • You can also use your mascara and just rub it down at the base of your eyelashes

  • i do my tightlining after eyeshadow but before mascara and just gently push on my eyelashes with the side of my finger

  • Could you do some makeup tutorials that look really good for when you wear glasses, and one maybe about how you dye/cut hair.? :]

  • @xticklemefancyx A "amkeup for glasses" video always seems like a good idea, but everyone has different frames, and wear them differently on their face, and different corrections will make your eyes look different, so to make a video about MU for glasses is just...a can of worms I'm not sure I want to open. I know other gurus have done this, but my philosophy is that it's your face, and you wear your makeup however you feel comfortable, glasses or no.

  • @vintageortacky haha, okay. I like how you put that, I wear glasses, and I wear my makeup anywhere from really bright and crazy to very simple. ^_^ I just wonder what the best way is to make yer eye's "pop" from behind frames. xD

  • @xticklemefancyx Also I have a video about how I dye my hair, but not my cut.

  • @vintageortacky ahh,,, okay.. I'll look it up. I kinda wanna start cutting my own hair.. maybe.. that way I can get it just exactly how I want it.. but I'm too scared I'm gonna make a total wack job of it.. D: lol, sooooooo.. do you think you could give me any tips on how not to totally screw it up.. or make a video next time you cut it.? :o

  • love it!!!! thank u thank u thank u!!!! :)

    ur videos r the best!

  • Cora help! i have a huge problem: no matter what i do or use i always end up looking like a panda because my mascara melts on my low lid. I've tried everything, from the cheapest to the most expensive mascara but it has been worthless. What should I do?

    10x

  • @insanelylovinmakeup If you don't have a latex allergy, you want to look for a "tubing" mascara- a few ones I reccommend are Fiberwig, Blinc Kiss Me, and Stila Convertible mascara. This type of mascara doesn't smudge run or flake, it forms a tube around your lashes and removed with warm water. It's a miracle for me.

  • @vintageortacky Thank you so much, you saved my life! i live in mexico so i don't have access to those brands but i would definitely try the Loreal ones!

  • what is a good drugstore eyeliner that won`t transfer/smudge from my tightline to the waterline?

  • @cally422 off the top of my head Milani and styli style are two great waterproof pencils from the drugstore.

  • Favorite part....5:13...lmao

  • i usually tightline without pulling my eye. i just look up put the eyeliner there then slightly close the eye and trag the eyeliner along. hard to explain but it's easier...

  • @angelkouari yeah I agree it is easier....unless you wear contacts, then you run the risk of getting liner on your contact.

  • I always wanted to learn how to do this :) thank you for making this video ! you always make great tutorials and keep everything simple to understand :)

  • @destroyeroperative89 I try :) thanks

  • Thanks! Love it. Your videos are always some of my favorites! Was wondering if I could tightline only and wear fake lashes for a more natural look?

  • @thearodrigue yep, as long you you place those lashes correctly.

  • Great tip about not covering the tear duct; prior to now I hadn't heard that one and couldn't figure out why I kept getting sties. I'd blamed it on my brushes and became super anal about cleaning them (though that hasn't been a bad habit to develop per se).

BTW, the annotations didn't come up at the end of the video. Not sure if that was the intent, but I figured I'd let you know. (:

  • @nubiennze OH yeah, no they didn't I haven't had time to add them but thank you for reminding me :)

  • If you forget to do tightlining before your eye makeup you can use a Q-tip and lie it down lay on your lid and push a little to reveal your waterline :)

  • tightlining was so itchy the first few times I did it but now it doesn't bother me..

can u recommend a mac liner that is similar to muf 23 L?

  • @kalpal040507 Hm....I just looked online and they don't have anything in the perm line that is similar.

  • are your contacts clear or colored?

  • @blessingsindesigns clear :)

  • great alternative! Thanks!

  • loved the alternative, thank you.

  • lol arent all eyes sensitive?

    nice video tho ;DD

  • @laurenlunchbox I think they should be treated with care anyway :)

  • This was really helpful, thanks!

  • I have used Avon's liguid eyeliner on my water line, it works ok. and I've used black eye shadow when i cant find or buy anymore black pencil. And Ive put black on both my waterline and tightine. but I have Really big eyes, like seriously everyones always telling me I look like a porcelain doll because Im really white and I have really smooth skin and big yes.

  • I have used Avon's liguid eyeliner on my water line, it works ok. and I've used black eye shadow when i cant find or buy anymore black pencil.

  • Congrats on your faux 200th video. I love the effect of tightlining but I find that it smudges off onto the outer corner of my eye underneath my lower lashline. I must have weird eyes or something. So far I've tried UD 24/7 liner and Revlon Colorstay. Can you recommend any pencil liners that might help with this? Thanks a bunch!

  • @fadexscape unfortunately that just happens to a lot of people (myself included). I find that it happens less with drier waterproof pencils, like MAC Technakohl.

  • Thanks for this vid! Really helpful, many thanks. X

  • lol idont think i have small eyes mines are huge haha nice video

  • what lipstick are you wearing it looks pretty on you

  • @1994jct I think this was MAC's Angel Lipstick

  • Awesome Tips! :)

  • Great tutorial!

  • you rock Cora!

  • Great tips!

  • Very helpful video ! And I LOVE your eyes ! They are so beautyful !

  • really helpful tips!

  • Thank you Cora, you answered all of my questions about clogging the tearducts and still using waterproof eyeliner! :D you're awesome!

  • @scentedhoneysuckle thanks! I'm glad I could help.

  • I'm only half-way through your video so I apologize if you answer this but do you have any recommendations for good drugstore eyeliners that work well in these areas?

  • @bnelson52 I will when I make a video about different eyeliner, but off the top of my head: Milani Liqufeye, and Styli-style make great waterproof ones, and Jordana has kohl liners that are really cheap.

  • ugh--the Annabelle kohl's are so hard. If you can, you should try the Annabelle smoothliners. They are leagues better than the kohl. Unless you like the kohl, in which case, just disregard!

  • @juliagoolia72 I like that liner, and sadly since I'm in the US I don't have easy access to Annabelle:(

  • I thought it was tide line! Silly me!

  • My eyes allways get relly relly red when i use liner "inside" my eyes XD

It goes away after about half an hour, but i looks like i´ve been crying all night untill it´s settled :P

  • I don't think I have small eyes, I actually have huge eyes :p People tell me I do all the time. And you're amazing [:

  • @Niksi88 you're so lucky! It's one of those things, the majority of people claim to have sensitive sin, small eyes, bad skin when it's just not true!

  • Thank you so much for this video. God, is there anybody ou Utube who does more useful videos than you do??!! Don't think so.

  • @eLtherd hahhahahha IDK I think there are a lot of helpful people on youtube :)

  • Thank you so much for this video.

  • @eLtherd you're welcome :)

  • when i line my tightline black and my waterline white, they kinda blend together and become a grey color :( how can i avoid this??

  • @kaari0 that can happen sometimes.

  • What's a stye? And, so usually how i apply my eyeliner is i close my eye and then run it over my water line and I find it tight lines and does the waterline at the same time, is this okay?

  • @IFireandIce as long as you're not poking your eye I guess that's ok. and google styes.

  • @IFireandIce a stye looks like a pimple near your eye >.<

  • Why does tightlining and doing the waterline seem to make my eyes bigger? D:

    I'm a freak!!! oh noes!!! OTL :P

    no but seriously, why? :o

  • @DogLoverGSC it depends on your eyeshape, what eyeshadow you pair with it etc. Tightlining just my upper part make my eyes seem bigger too.

  • Another way to kind of transfer your eyeliner to the titeline, just line your bottom waterline and close your eyes tight to transfer to your upper titeline:)

  • @makuplove yeah that works for some people, if you want dark on both. I've tried this and it usually makes my whole eye area messy in about 20 minutes :)

  • loving your hair, lol

  • what is the name of that champaign liner you used?? thanx

  • @imani25 it's called "23 L" by Make Up For Ever

  • @vintageortacky thank you sooo much

  • what is the alternative?

  • @beautyru5h Did you finish watching the video ? :)

  • how the heck does she clothes one and keep the other eye open

  • how the heck does she clothes one eye and keep the other eye open?

  • how the heck does she clothes one eye and keep the other eye open?

  • I always wonder how u would remove eyeliner that was on ur water line. It seems to me that it would be hard to get it off

  • THANK YOU SO EFFING MUCH!!! i totally needed to know this cuz i have sensitive eyes.

  • Thanks so much for this video. I"ve tried numerous brands of eyeliner as my eyes are extremely sensitive and I wear contacts. Surprisingly the best liner for my waterline that I've tried so far is Avon's glimmersticks.

  • @hollynla AH glimmersticks! I totally used to have a few of those (we're talking 10 years ago) Ah I loved aubergine and this shimmery white one! Ah back in the day!

  • what's wrong if your eyes look small..i like it when my eyes look small..:S..is that like not normal ??

  • @mshsamiha the majority of people want to have larger looking eyes. if you like having smaller looking eyes there is nothing wrong with that, it's just your taste.

  • omg!! i love that champagne eyeliner!! xD

  • I love using that technique but it tickles like crazyyyy. LOL

Nice nail polish. Thanks for sharing this info.

  • thanks for the great advice!! so many people mention it, but i don't think people show how to actually do it. quick question---do you need to remove the makeup with makeup remover? if so, do i just use a Q-tip?? i use the shiseido makeup remover, which I believe is an oil-base one. thank you again!! =D

  • @ashleynicole325 I use a eye makeup remover with a baby wipe. I use on my eyes first, then my face, then I wash my face.

  • @vintageortacky Q-tips are heaven when it comes to removing eyeliner in small areas

  • @hydes2010 q-tips/cotton buds are pretty much one of the better household items IMHO.

  • Lining the upper lid like that is a great way for those trying to achieve the natural look --- i do this with my makeup routine now after I watched Michelle Phan's natural look tutorial. It can be tricky though like you said lining the lid with gel eyeliner...since its bound to wear off into the eye.

  • Happy two hundredth video. I love you <3

  • Thanks soo much for the alternative, tightlining makes my eye lid swell because it's blocking my moibobian (sp?) glands.

  • @Grievousig101 you're welcome!

  • But throughout the day, the top color will get on the bottom, if you put a lighter color on it. But I guess there's nothing anyone can do about that :)

  • @princessandme02 yeah that's kinda the lay of the land...and exactly what touch-ups are for.

  • haha :P when you mentioned putting liquid liner on the waterline, it made me think of the first time i used liquid liner. I did exactly that and it ran into my eye and my eyeball when black D: D: it didnt hurt though and I washed it out right away, but i did learn a valuable lesson.
