  • people need to stop arguing about if these artists are reppin Christ! worship music is worship music and the entire 116 Clique is living and rapping for our LORD, Jesus Christ the Messiah!!

  • for everyone saying that Christians shouldnt fit Christian lyrics into a worldly music genre can you please tell me what a "Christian Music Genre" is? Thats ridiculous, God can be glorified regardless of the type of music.

  • Thumbs up if u dont wanna feel trapped no more

  • Wish he rapped in this voice more often!

  • @mynameiszachattack You got that right. This is his best song.

  • this is awesome

  • best part is 0:00 to 3:31

  • No guys. You all are misunderstanding what I'm getting at. I have no problem with Christian rap whatsoever. Which is why I started listening to Tedashii and Lacrae in the first place. What I'm getting a is that there should be a distinct difference between Christian rap and Hip Hop. The two don't need to have anything to do with eachother at all. and that line is constantly blurring and becoming more unclear...

  • IM A FLORIA LIKE A SEMINOLE WOW I LOVE TEDASHII MUSIC

  • Tedashii!!! I just wanna say thank you for letting God use you bro. the lyrical content was SICK. I love rap that makes me sit down and think about what was said.(people should listen to the content of the music any way) this is a creative way to give them the insentive to. Its funny because I bet you didn't even think of that yet God knew it and did it. This is your best song, please continue in God's grace.

  • wwwoooowwww the message on this song. it's sometimes the hardest new convert have to do say no i can't get with my old sins, life, friend, music, dreams and anything that is not of God

  • there are many genres of music that do not glorify god even when you put holy or gospel in front of it. Rock and Roll, Rythm and Blues, Heavy Metal, Go-Go, all these styles originated from ungoldiness and sinful lifestyles and are a means of expressing these lifestyles.. Christians have to break away from all that. The world cant be in the church at all. God doesn't do hybrid stuff. He wants unadulturated, untainted, pure, truthful, and original praise and worship from us.. that's all Im saying.

  • yeah. the christians arent the ones who need to be saved. Its the nonbelievers who need to be saved from sin, death, and ungodliness. and Hip Hop indeed consists of, causes, and results in those very three things. you cant save somebody by trying to use whats killing them to help them. It's kind of simple and plain to see. you just have to look at it from an umbiased and unopinionated perspective. did you do the research yet? and while we are at it. yes this doesnt just deal with hip hop..

  • exaaactly. so whenever we do so knowingly, we need to change.. that's why I had to put this music down. Just another thing I had to do to improve my witness and to be more like how Christ wants me to be. Glad to chat with you :) much love!!

  • @chrishend0h2 I don't think that Lecrae or any other Christian hip hop artist knows or thinks that what they are doing is wrong. And personally, I don't either. But saying that they shouldn't do hip hop because it's a worldly genre could apply to any other genre as well. If their music didn't sound similar to secular hip hop then they wouldn't be reaching those who do not believe in Christ. I see where you're coming from, but Christians aren't the ones that need to be saved.

  • @nilladiscgolfer you can deff listen and know that there actuallly sending a biblical/ encouraging msg to brothers and sisters in christ and that maybe have came from different walks of life.

  • @chrishend0h2 I agree with nilladiscgolfer. I always loved hip hop/rap but I never like the lyrics I just love the beats. For a long time I was trying to find beats as great as those used in secular music and I finally found them. Hip Hop/Rap aren't ungodly or secular it is the lyrics that make the difference. Where would you place classical music? I am thankful for the alternative for all the Hip Hop/Rap lovers that don't want to listen to songs with curse words and songs about sex, violence...

  • @chrishend0h2 What do you say to those people who believe in Christ because of the message in this type of music?

  • We have our own praise that we can create to glorify God. We don't need to sound like and look like the world and just talk differently because then our lifestyle would be hypocritical. These guys even tho they no doubt are on fire for Jesus, they still have ways and habbits about them that glorify the street and the world and the hip hop culture like their style of dress, tatoos, etc.. U know?

  • @chrishend0h2 Yeah, I understand.. But I believe that we all have our own ways of glorifying the world, whether we mean to or not. And that is why we are all considered sinners. I see where you're coming from, but I think everyone glorifies the world in some way or another. The only man not to was Jesus.

  • I have to admit. I did find Tedashii and Lecrae's music intruiguing and I said to myself, what's the harm in this, this is totally Christian. But then I realized how it reminded me of other worldy music and I didn't feel convicted listening to ungodly music like I should have been because both types of music seemed the same to me. Christians, how we live, what we create, and what we do should be distinctively different from what the world does. We dont need to adopt and tweak.

  • now I'm totally with you when you say that the have a gift. but whenever there is a better way and whenever truth is presented Jesus expects for us to take it to heart and perform at a higher, more impactful level. kindof like upgrading a phone. lol

  • I don't say things unless I can back it up. Hip Hop is a culture it is birthed out of many beliefs practices doctrines false gods and supports a lifestyle that is so antiChrist that at first you might find it hard to believe. and basically Hip Hop means booty shakin. cant be holy with that. lmbo. but on a serious note. before you disregard what I'm sayin, check it out for yourself. Do the research and then go back and compare what you find to the truth of God's Word and you will see what I mean.

  • @chrishend0h2 You could say the same about EVERY other genre of music this includes gospel music and contemporary christian music with that alternative rock sound.

  • hopefully they come to this realization soon because they no doubt have a wide fanbase and many followers. but honestly ppl are attracted to this type of alternative music because it is just like what they normally hear and listen to. We shouldnt have to fit Christian lyrics to a worldy style of music to reach ppl. The fact that we are totally opposite and living life abundantly should be enough for them to see Jesus and to be saved and converted. No such thing a s Holy Hip Hop. Not possible.

  • @chrishend0h2 I don't think they would change. They are doing what the LORD has led them to do, and they are gifted artists that are using their talents for him. I respect your opinion, but I believe there IS holy hip hop, and even though this song isn't blatantly Christian, the lyrics are still pretty straightforward. I would rather they make quality music than not. It is reaching many non-Christians too. I don't see how there is no such thing as holy hip hop when they're living it right now.

  • @chrishend0h2 Brother, what makes you believe that? These guys are worshipping Christ just as Hillsong or Jesus Culture would do. Just because they add a beat to the song and take away the singing and replace it with rapping does not make them less holy. And if you think this is bad, you would faint at the sound of Christian deathcore. People screaming and grunting in the name of God is beauty.

  • @TheMyotus hey bro, uuum, not disagreeing with you on the rap part of it but take a second and say these to words "christian deathcore" ru serious? idk but sound like they just conforming to the world instead of being transformed by the renewing of your mind (romans 12:2) i hop eyou was bein sarcastic when you said "people screaming and grunting in the name of God is beauty." kinda reminds me of a church sign i saw. it said "screaming 'oh God' during sex does not count as talking to me"

  • @kaeldegrey That's where you are wrong. People aren't going to listen to your message if they don't like the way it sounds. Christians who rap and play in metal bands are just reaching out to people who need the message. It's just music. Society labels where it belongs. God doesn't care what it sounds like, as long as it's done in His name and for His glory. Jesus called out the Pharisees for making the same kind of blind accusations you're plastering on YouTube.

  • @ThatBlindGuy92 well last i checked, Jesus didn't change his message to reach the pharrisees. given the fact that they killed him, i don't think they liked ho wit sounded. and God cares alot about that. i can go blow up a mosque in God's name, but he doesn't want me to do that. we label the music where it belongs, by our intent, and by what it says. music is language and just like cuss words, some of it can no longer be used for his glory.

  • @kaeldegrey Music is just a pleasant sound. If you stay in scripture, and accept that it's for God and not you, the rest doesn't really matter. Your argument is one of preference, not principle, which you just spoke out against. Woe to you, you hypocrit.

  • @kaeldegrey Okay, okay, okay.. Let me just say this. You are confusing sound with the message itself. Jesus didn't change the way his message sounded (the words and how he preached), but we're talking about sound of the music (beats and flow). Lecrae and Reach Records haven't changed their overall message. It's still straightforward and blatantly Christian.

The difference between Korn and TFK is THE MESSAGE. They SOUND the same. But their message differs substantially.

  • @nilladiscgolfer yes the message is different, but with lecrae's rap the sound is different too. music is art consisting of 2 generic part: music and message. they come together to create one piece of art. the sound is used for ungodly purposes as much as the message. if you use ungodly music with a godly message that's being unequally yoked with unbelievers, and it shows a conflict of interests, thus the music is 2sided "a doubleminded man is unstable in all his ways." and by that "message over

  • @nilladiscgolfer music" statement your playing right into the devils hand and Paul spoke about it when he said in 1corinthians 1:21 "for it pleased God that by the FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING to save them that believe." now if they come out with a christian rock band that has a unique sound AND message, lemme know cuz i'll deff check them out. but understand that Lucifer was the cheif musician. i think he knows a lil more about music than we do. and God knows even more, meaning he can bring about

  • @nilladiscgolfer music with a godly sound and message. one reason i love Crae's music so much is that it's got that lightndark difference that rock doesn't. the only reason i'd listen to Crae was cuz his sound and message existed together solely for the purpose of glorifying God. he even says "we ain't looking for decisions and converts/ you can put ur hands down after the concert/" he's trying to influence youth believers

  • @nilladiscgolfer in a godly way, not save ppl. and he understands that preaching and teaching the Gospel is the only way to truely bring ppl to Christ. to be honest, b4 i was saved i listened to Queen, and Hollywood Undead, and when i tried christian rock, i was disgusted because they mimic a sound meant for a different message. in fact, it made me want to go back to the old music. whereas Crae encourages me to stay away from it and provides a good substitute.

  • @ThatBlindGuy92 in Matthew 28:19-20 it says "go ye therefore and teach all nations...." he didn't say "oh and make sure they like it. it has appeal to them. NO!! whens the last time someone liked hearing he was the scum of th eearth, worthy of God's wrath and righteous judgment? when i can play a Korn record and then turn on Flyleaf or Thoursand Foot Krutch, and theres no difference, that's when we've crossed the line and it no longer glorifies God.

  • @kaeldegrey Your logic is invalid. There's a difference. It's in the lyrics. The style of music is irrelavent. Some people aren't going to come to faith by listening to a preacher. Some need to hear the gospel in another way. So, you worship your way with other believers who worship the same way you do, and I'll worship my way with people who get the gospel the way I do. Don't judge or criticise other people's way of worship and evangelism.

  • @chrishend0h2 bro, first i wanna pat ya on the back for hold strong to what you believe in. second i wanna clarify something. if you were a die hard rap fan like me, when you get saved it isn't easy to give that up. and when you know rap like me and these guys do, you can see the difference between secular rap and the 116 clique are night and day difference. but i agree, some people have deffinately gone to far. (check Canon or SOM) i wont have anything to do with those guys. an dwhat Crae and

  • @chrishend0h2 T-Dot and erybody at Reach Records is doing is not tryna bring people in, (listen to Fanatics and After the Music Stops), but tryna help those already saved by giving them a good influence. i struggled alot right after i got right with God, alot of it with porn, and because i wouldn't give up my secular music, it was killing me. i had no good influence. then i heard the song "not a slave" by JR. it was like God smacked me in the back of the head and said "that's what i been tryna

  • tell you!" since i've been listening to these guys, it has helped remind me to "stay on my grind" about reading my bible and praying all the time, and through that it helped me conqueor the sin in my life. would i play this in church as part of worship music? no. would i use it as a tool to get someone saved? no. unless me listening to it started a convo about God, then i'd use it as an example. i'm not saying change your views, i'm just tryna let you understand that while yes there are people

  • who are misusing this, and they are doing more damage than help, these guys are on the level. if you want an example of the stark contrast, look up ithe song "renegade" by EMIN3M and Jay-Z and then listen to "rebellion" by lecrae. also try listining to "got money" by lil wayne and then "got paper" by Lecrae. or even "gimme dat" by Ciara and "gimme dat" by ambassador. anyways, thanks for stayin strong and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Romans 1:16 my bro!!!

  • yeah man.. Tedashii, Lecrae, Fire, all, these guys have a gift for music and are outstanding muscians and lyricists.. but. The thing about this genre, even thought it is directed to Christians, is based in a culture and lifestyle that is antiChrist and is heavily influenced by the spirit of Hip Hop. As Christians we have to come completely out of the world. and this just doesnt cut it. They are misinformed with good intentions, thats all. and if someone brought this to them they would change.

  • This song is so live!

  • where is your discernment? this doesn't glorify God.

  • @Blastusify ???

  • @nilladiscgolfer What part of my comment do you not understand?

God is holy, holy, holy. This is worldly, worldly, worldly.

I understand that you have good intentions, but that's not righteousness.

The way to life is so narrow, like my patience for this genre.

    I'm dead to it now.

  • @Blastusify Alright, sorry to hear that. But if these artists influence even one person to put their faith in Christ (which they have), then they've done what they came to do. BTW, this song, although it isn't the most straight forward Christian rap song I've ever heard, is still clearly made to glorify God. I'm not going to argue with you though. If you don't want to listen to it, that's your choice. As a brother in Christ, I respect your decision.

  • @nilladiscgolfer Thank you. I appreciate that maybe someone was consoled or

thought twice b/c of their words. I just don't see the glory in it. Maybe I'm wrong.

I hope the best for all of you.

  • IM angry kuz vidtomp3 wont let me download it

  • @jakadi555 God might be sending you a message. You should support these guys. They put their hearts into their work, and can use the support. All glory to God for 116!
