  • guns suck. mudjihadn

  • Thanks for the vid! I just purchased the XDm-9 compact and was researching some good cleaning routines. Moving on to part 2...

    - Ken L, Oklahoma

  • thanks for the vid man i just subbed

  • Better way to clean the XDM is to piss on it and throw it in a river, they blow

  • @68rapes556 Please go die noob.

  • @TheDubDoubt hes prolly one of those glock happy dudes, they hate when good guns come out...

  • jeasus i could have cleaned it and got it dirty again by the time you got to actually cleaning it

  • rented one of those the last time i was at the range. may be the best pistol i have fired in a long long time. it is a great improvement of the xd series.

  • I can use this vid to as a reference to clean my xd-9 right ( I don't have it yet but it will be mine)?

  • Great vid. Alot of very useful info man. Thanks for posting.

  • If you did just a little more reseach on your own gun you would know that you don't have to hold the slide back. Proper procedure is to use the slide lock and lock it back, THEN rotate the take down latch to the up position. Good vid otherwise. Plus it might make it a little easier and you wont scratch your slide.

  • hahaha storing ammo and gun in the same case? haha that's legal...

  • It's legal where I'm at. I'll keep ammo wherever the hell I want. ; ) Doesn't mean it's safe (if there are kids around)

  • Why so many comments on the southern? Thanks for the information of products and on how to clean this bad boy!! Keep the info comin brother and thanks again!!

  • Excellent and informative video, thanks!

  • Melonite finish, not parkerized, but still an informative video. I am ordering one today and can't wait to shoot it. What other pistols do you own (what is that in your holster in the video)? And how does the XDm compare to others?

  • I had never shot this gun before, but heard very good reviews about it. My Dad and I were deciding whether to but this one or the USP 40..so we wen to the range and tried both..I still prefer the way the USP 40 shoots, but he ended up buying the XDM instead, very nice gun I must say..plus it's 200 bucks cheaper than the USP 40.

  • Nope! But I "shurrrre" sound southern on video!

  • ummmm ahhh.... did i mention ummmmm .. ahhh.. ummmm. BTW ummmmm

  • Ummmmm aaa ummmmm aaaaa ummmmmm aaaaaa

  • I have to agree with wookerton. The manual clearly states that the slide should be locked back before the break down lever is flipped up.

Also, I woldn't advise anyone who is watching this video to just whipe the slide off of the frame as he does in this video. The pinky and ring finger should wrap around the recoil spring as you slowly pull the slide away. That sping is under tension and could easily come loose and cause damage.

  • when you are pulling and holding the slide back so you can switch the take down lever up, it dont understand why you dont just lock the slide back. it was designed so you just lock it back and switch the lever up. let the slide go forward slowly, and then remove from slide. learn how to dismantle your gun correctly before you make a video showing the wrong way how to do something. its common sense.
